He plays at powerhouse American Heritage in Miami.

His offers: UCF, Miami, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, BG, Akron, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, UNC, NC State, NIU, Pitt, Rutgers, USM, Temple, and WVU.

And yet I've seen numerous "4 stars" committing to ACC programs that have maybe 3-4 mid tier ACC offers.
we can't have it both ways: bragging about all the 2 stars we put in the NFL and then complain when they don't properly rate our signees. i prefer underrated to overrated. it's why we have more players in the NFL than over 30 so called power 5 programs.

UCF and Temple are both crushing it.

This is confusing.

Houston will have some fine players at TDECU stadium.

I have no idea who was or wasn't a 2 star nor do I care. I'm only having it one way- these recruiting rating services absolutely suck and aren't worth wasting breath on.

Hell, they had Dillon Gabriel as a 2 star when it was UCF and Hawaii offering. Georgia and USC offer and suddenly, he jumps to a 3 star. Miracle! His talent improved overnight!

The same thing happened to DeAngelo Williams in reverse when he committed to Memphis instead of his SEC offers.

Temple has never really had high classes regardless of the recruiting site, but often over achieves on the field. My guess is wherever Temples primary recruits come from are underrated or they are able to retain most of their class for 3-4 years.

Steroids and coke.

Yes please!

I hope there's a secret 03-shhhh ephedrine kiosk on our sideline at the Cotton Bowl. 03-lmfao

If they got any mushies and MyDearMotherAnnie, I could go for an old fashion Hippy Flip.

Hippy flippin is for nerds, all the cool kids candyflip these days.

5. Houston (83.89)

7. UCF (83.53)
8. FAU (83.50)
9. UNT (83.32)
10. Tulane (83.29)

AAC has the top 3, 6 of the top 7, and 7 of the top 10.

*New Mexico is technically 4th with an 84.18 rating, but they only have 1 commit so I left them out since every other team on this list has at least 11 commits (FAU).

Yeah, the overall 247 rating is bogus in the case of USF. By average per recruit, we did well. However, not that many recruits signed due to the change in coaches. USF will add a lot more recruits by the next signing day. The only reason we're not in the top 5 or 6 overall is simple...we didn't sign very many recruits...not that other programs signed better recruits. Bogus. We also signed a transfer RB from Oregon and QB from UNC, that are eligible right away, and I don't think they're factored into rankings (I could be wrong about that).

I agree with your post that class size is a factor. Lots of classes that are ranked so high are due to the fact they have 22-25 recruits already. It should really be measured on average ratings vs. a total score.

That being said UC only has 16 in this class. If we were sitting on 22 recruits right now we'd probably be another 10 spots higher in the overall rankings.

Houston's class sucks for a big name P5 coach coming in. I wonder how much tanking the season played a part
