RE: Drinkwitz to Mizzou confirmed
I’m excited to see who Doug gets though. I’m pretty good with Roof leaving, and Drink made some good moves. Hope the best for him. Now get out of the way so we can continue to build the dynasty!!

LInk is definitely a stud. When Drink hired him away from LaTech they were very "Meh" about it. He did have good personnel to work with too.

Welcome to the world of one and dones. Yes, they will take or try to take commitments if they think they are good enough. Might even take a current player. Complaining does nothing to help. Regarding the buyout, if it’s too high, a coach won’t agree to it. If it’s someone you really want, you do what’s needed to get him to sign.

Y’all could probably get Withers on the cheap . . .
I hear he’s got ties to y’all . . . he even comes with HC experience in the Conference. I wouldn’t call it great or even good experience, but experience nevertheless . . .

LMAO....Points 1 and 2...yeah you can probably find that....add in point 3 and you’re just romanticizing the idea of a coaching job. That’s not a jab at the App State coaching job...that’s all coaching jobs that aren’t paying top dollar.

Disagree, we now have 2 coaches who have made it to the next level, and one of them is now the Coach of the yr in the ACC, unfortunately we now have the reputation as one of the best programs in the country to prepare a coach for the next level, and any candidate knows if he succeeds in Boone is almost guaranteed his own P5 program, you combine that with a great and supportive fanbase, plus all the new add ons to the stadium and a great area to raise your family, and I think it would be easy take this job even if the buyout is high

Don't forget guys that Drink can most likely offer any of his current staff at least double what they are currently making to go with him. The assistant's pool of cash will bu much higher at Missouri.

RE: Drinkwitz to Mizzou confirmed
App State fans....we have to stop with the thinking of finding someone the bleeds black and yellow - and will work for peanuts if he has to due to the love for App State.
We need a guy that is a promising OC or DC that many people give glowing reviews about and see if we can lock him in for a few years before he gets to the next level. That's the way it works in college football. G5 is a stepping stone for those type of guys. We can have good success with that approach.
And yes, we could get snake bit with a bad coaching hire. Hell, even the P5s get caught in that trap.
