Look back at the teams Toledo beat in 2013. That was a better team than the 2019 Rockets.They blew
the last game of the season to a 5-7 Akron. This year
with any semblance of a Defense, Rockets would win the MAC West. This season has been a major f-up, even with the injuries on Offense. A loss on Friday to a team with much less talent will be more
of the same. This game is an opportunity to show some pride and an ability to win.

Our D pitched a shutout early at home early this year. I said during that game I thought our defense was bad. Someone made light of my comment. What happened this year is going to continue unless Candle does something after the early signing period. Buy I still think as bad as the defense has been. Our pass coverage has gotten better. Our backs for whatever reason have improved. They have finally started turning their heads to look for the ball.

I'll be shocked if they are even competitive. This coaching staff has lost this team. They appear to be going through the motions. If CMU runs their QB, he'll get 200 yds rushing. Just a shame. Changes in Leadership are desperately needed!

Probably has to do with having a d-back coach that played in the NFL. I think Ka'dar Hollman is a good example of what good coaching can do for a kid that arrived as a walk-on, then became an undrafted free agent signed by the Packers. More than half also take tackling seriously - it's still a problem. But not much different at other schools

All teams have down years--seasons that did not meet expectations. The "other UTs" (Texas and Tennessee) are also 6-5. I'm not reading their message boards but how many of their fans actually don't want a bowl game?

6-5 is an improvement for Tennessee.
Both the Vols and Longhorns have won their past few Bowl games. They don't look at it as an opportunity to be embarrassed on a national level.

Texas fans may be more pissed than us because they have their own network and a top 10 recruiting class...

Well, for us, normally I would think of it as a bowl game. At this point I can only think of it as a bowl loss.
