Charlotte, Grand Valley State and Saginaw Valley State - nothing against those programs and nothing against Carey because I am very grateful for what he did while at NIU but not exactly... powerhouses. NIU football will be ok and we WILL be back to Detroit. And soon.

Rod wanted to play QB. He's been watching Lamar highlights.

But from what I've heard in here. He's supppppper inaccurate with a cannon arm.

From what I saw from practices ( not this year) throwing starts from the ground up and Rodney never had his feet set properly-he is a lefty and his right foot ( lead foot) was always to far to the right and was to open as he released.

You do realize that almost all transfers have to sit out a year and possibly even 2 years (if transferring within the MAC) when going from one DIA team to another.
That is why most transfer to DIAA as there is no sitting out to transfer there. I would expect most who transfer to end up in DIAA.

Just like Erin Collins coming from Hutchinson C.C. I find it hard to believe people dont understand transfer rules at this point.

Where would you put Hutchinson Community College? I think guys who plan on going to another FBS school after a year out just pick schools for convienence. I wouldn’t judge them on the temp school they pick.

Judge them on the schools they are transferring to? Well we have lost lineman to Purdue and Florida St and by comparion your Grand Valley, Saggy St and Charlotte are not in that class. So yeah, no one was after them.

BTW, know the transfer rules very well, I personally had to.

We lost GRAD transfers to Purdue and FSU. Huge difference. I’m not buying the mass exodus(any more than with any coaching change) but where kids go is irrelevant to how many go. If Hall could go to Purdue or FSU he’d still be playing at Walgreens Pharmaceutical university for a year in 2020.

QB Anthony Thompson announced he’s going to Indiana State.

Actually Hammock has brought in 67 of the 114 of the players on the roster at this moment in time, which is approx 59%, and he was only hired one year and 22 days ago. Plus he got Bowers, a D1 player, as a transfer. Just because there are a ton of kids entering the portal does not mean that is how you should build your team, cuz guess what, they transfer once b/c they didn't like their situation who is to say they won't just do it again. I would much rather he builds the program from the ground up with recruiting, and only when there is a massive hole to fill go looking for transfers.
