Is the hold on the ruling in place until then as well? Cause the Orgeron game is before that

Injunction is good til the hearing. Looks like Memphis & Penny were well prepared to take action on this should the need have presented itself.

They should hold him out of games until the ruling. If the NCAA wins the case, the Tigers will forfeit every single game he plays in.

Isn't this a TRO...Temporary Restraining Order? An Injunction comes later on.

Pretty sure, legally, you’re not allowed to retroactively do that. I think it falls under the same sphere as trying to apply laws retroactively after they’re passed. Which you can’t do.

Also, what’s abundantly clear to me at this point is if you roll over for the ncaa they will FU!K you as hard as they can. If you fight them tooth and nail you get off with slaps on the wrist.

Well that is nothing new for them. Didn't they have to forfeit the entire 2008 season, yet it meant nothing? Everyone still considers Memphis as playing in the 2008 championship, except the NCAA. lol
And about the Oregon game, it was a Shelby County judge who issues the stay... not a federal judge. Hopefully a stay from a local judge applies to games outside the county as well. If so, he'll play in the Oregon game.

The NCAA retroactively penalizes teams all the time. The season Cal went to the finals with Rose was completely forfeited.

I'm not sure a Shelby County judge's ruling is even relevant for an NCAA decision. He may have just caused us to forfeit tonight's game.

The ncaa is above the law? Courts in Tennessee don’t matter?

Who cares? I would rather watch Wiseman play and stomp the team like we are doing and forfeit it later over crap NCAA then not. I am fine with forfeiting a few games and kick the hell out of Oregon.

Attitudes like that are exactly what's wrong with college athletics.

Private organizations are legally allowed to set their own rules for members.

Nah, we'll be fine.
The NCAA just needs to go away period or fix their issues.
The power programs have gotten away with far too much by beating the NCAA. There were players at power schools who took shoe money and got to play.
Look at LSU just recently.
They are a joke.
