Big time battle to settle once and for all.....

....who is the worst team in the conference this year.

I give us a slight edge in this one . . . . to win.

Probably our last realistic shot at a football win the remainder of this season.

Said win, should it happen, would be number 3 on the year, and tie us with our win total for all of last year. Man, you gotta love a program that “racks ‘em up” like that.

And, should said win occur, it would be number 13 over the past 5 seasons. Yeah, a lot of programs would kill for that kind of consistency... .

Yeah I like us too in this one. Though USA can certainly beat us if they play well and/or we play poorly.

I'm not quite so pessimistic going forward though. App will wipe the floor with us, but we should have a shot against Troy and Coastal. Hopefully we can snag one of those games.

We need not this game to determine the worst team in the conference. It has already been decided and it isn't located in Hays County, Texas.

I’d like to be a little more optimistic about the Troy/Coastal games, but I’m just not seeing it. Both of those programs have shown the ability to put up points in bunches.

I haven’t seen (with any consistency) anything that says our O can keep up.

I’ve followed this program for a long time, and this is without a doubt the worst five years of Bobcat Football that I have ever seen.

I hope you’re right though, about snagging one. . . .

We try out another qb and might have better luck. Maybe Trotter will get some action, we know what we have with Cephus.

TXST takes an early 3-0 lead. That should be enough to close the game.

The Jags have predictably been run-heavy today and are having some success. Touchdown Jags! XP made. 7-3 Jags, 1:47 left in the first quarter.

FG TXST. 7-6 Jags lead.

TD TXST. The Bobcats lead 13-7, 3:09 left in the half.

The Jags catch a break. What could have been a TXST INT is instead a Jag touchdown, as the ball was tipped but found its way in WR Flenord’s hands for a TD. Jags up 14-13.

That’s the score at the half, Jags up 14-13. Bobcats get the ball to start the second half.

TXST is throwing all over us, and have a TD. Bobcats up 20-14.

All tied up in the 3rd, 20-20.

The Jags score a touchdown but miss the XP. Texas State was called for running into the kicker so the Jags got a second chance. On the second attempt, TXST blocks the XP, but was ruled to be offsides. On the third attempt, the Jags convert the XP, and lead 21-20 with 7 minutes left in the 3rd.

A “shared possession” touchdown for TXST gave them the lead in the third. The Jags can’t stop the Bobcat passing attack. Game in the 4th, TXST up 27-21.

Minter with a TD. Jags back up 28-27. 9:57 left in the 4th quarter.

TXST announcer: This game is going back and forth. It’s going to come down to the 4th quarter. (Meanwhile the game is already in the 4th quarter).

Bobcat FG leads to the 9th lead change. TXST 30-28.
