Now fielding requests for Jank Excuse Bingo game rules.

Inquiries coming from as far away as Ohio and even Storrs!

3 takeaways from the Houston game today. They continue to separate themselves in the AAC. https://cbbreview.com/2021/01/31/houston...feats-smu/

i don't see the importance of the conference tournament other than to make money off of teams.
it would be better to opt out of it and not risk playing in the tournament due to covid.

giving teams a legitimate reason to try... it give purpose to keep getting better..

without the conference tournament whats the point of even playing at all if you are tulane or ecu ..risking covid when you have not shot at a post season?

Some of the best games of the year happen during the conference tourneys. That's when the madness starts.

I really, really want a conference tourney trophy. With that said, If we were a lock for a 1/2 seed and weren't otherwise penalized for opting out, I'd be all for it. Something tells me the NCAA won't make it that easy, though I am very curious how they plan to enforce any policies behind it.

Short of opting out, how about having one off game against us, lol?

Unless a legitimate excuse exists, Houston should enter the AAC Tourney. If they win the crown, then it tends to improve their NCAA Tourney seeding. If they lose along the way, then it produces a legitimate champion rather than one manufactured through a loophole.

At this point, I'll take the loophole, thanks.

the ncaa decides that it wont make a rule to prevent optout for teams with locks to the tournament to get their conference a second bid..

but urges for integrity from those teams to not cheat the system...

so houston can officially optout of the tourney to get the aac a second bid but many in the community would see right through that

I read that to say a conference can use the counference tournament or the regular season champion to win the auto bid. And if a conference tournament is played, they want all schools to participate. Sounds like the only way this gets us 2 bids is if Houston is not the regular season champion and we don't have a conference tournament.

Irrelevant. The Selection Committee has every right to not invite that team if not everybody plays.

I think it best to either not have a conference tourney, or have one with the usual format.

Houston should just send a bunch of walk-ons and one assistant coach to the conference tournament if the NCAA decides to power trip about it. **** the NCAA.
