Fanatic that is a practice hardly exclusive to Muncie. EMU and U-M here have the same issue as well with respect to tailgating only attendance. U-M sells out the stadium so it is mildly understandable, but parking around the stadium is going to set you back at least $50 per car. At EMU parking is free, game tickets are $15 and the parking lot is at capacity with the stadium 1/4 full at best.

Perhaps these MAC schools need to discover this additional revenue stream. Crank up the parking charges, sell team merchandise and tailgating supplies in the lot and offer incentives for game attendance. It could shore up some athletic department budgets for sure.
