GCU picks up Oregon State transfer Sean Miller-Moore, a 6'5, 200-lbs, Senior-to-be, very athletic wing out of Canada. He played JC ball at Mobley Area CC. It looks like Miller-Moore will sit out this upcoming season and have one final season of eligibility.

I vote NMSUPistolPete to help CrimsonPhantom to be one of the mods on this site. Pistol is level headed, provides amazing research, and is not a sensitive nit wit like the mods over on Aggie Alert. CP is an amazing mod btw. So glad we have him.

I second that motion. He doesn't even get rattled when I talk about Tarleton coming in and opening a can of whoop-ass on the WAC! Definitely level-headed and well-informed. Research is legit. I like it here.

No disrespect to Pistol but unless board membership skyrockets significantly or you guys start pissing me off on a regular basis, I'm THE Mod. Unless he's interested.

Pistol, thank you for keeping us up to date on WAC commits and roster status of each school. You put a lot of work into it and it's appreciated.

BCG talks about his 7 new pickups.
Starting to feel a little better about the lack of size. All about versatility.

NMSU received the commitment of Kalen Williams, a 6'2, 170-lbs, Sophomore-to-be, combo guard from Western Nebraska CC. In his one season in JC ball, Williams averaged 13.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and 2.7 apg.

The hardest part of recruiting for basketball programs of the WAC's stature is finding impactful front court players with good size. In many cases WAC schools are playing athletic undersized front court players or playing bigger players who could never start at a high major (P5) school; a bench player at bigger programs. A lot of the big men in the WAC are "role" players. So, initially, BCG should be OK constructing an undersized Texan team. However, if he wants to win the WAC, at some point he will need to find dominant low post players. Over the course of NMSU's history in the WAC, NMSU's low post play has been the difference what separates the Aggies from the rest of the conference. Although, being slightly undersized during Jans tenure, NMSU has established and maintained its low post dominance for several years. I have noticed with the addition of new WAC coaches, there has been greater focus to get bigger in the paint. Outside of Dixie State and Tarleton State, this off-season is the first time I have seen a conscience effort recruit more size across the board. Grand Canyon, Utah Valley, UT Rio Grande Valley, and California Baptist have brought in a lot more size in this recruiting class. Even NMSU has brought in more size than in Jans first three seasons. But because of Jans' defensive demands (expectations), our big men must possess a good balance of size, stamina (agility), and lateral quickness. I think this will also be the case at Tarleton State once BCG gets a couple years under his belt there.

Totally off topic but in the twitter graphic of this post I’m really digging this new design jersey. The script writing looks classic.

That Aggie modified cursive script is a throwback style from the late 1970's. Under Armor has put out a number of nice looking basketball (and football) jerseys.

Nice pickup!

He looks like a decent big man. He has three point range.

I’m itching for the college basketball season already, Pojoaque!
And thanks for the video, Pistol. Granted it’s limited but I like what I see for sure! Looking forward to have a big body with some range next year!
