We had 2 QBs transfer last year so Brady McBride may have been 4th string, and Adair 5th String...who knows.

One thing we do know is that we have a terrible group of QBs OR Norvell is playing favorites at QB

Do you really believe that? White needs to work on protecting the ball but is not a bad quarterback.
White is an average G-5 QB at best. He is not even being challenged for the starting spot, either they are not very good or there is not an open competition for QB... I hope improves and everyone like me who says White is average at best is proven wrong, there is not much hope that we will be.

The good news is that his being an average QB is good enough for us to beat most teams, even Temple. White payed one his worst games ever and was one horrific call away from a shot at a winning FG at worst.

He threw for 376 yards. The lob Interception the defender was holding Coxie and then pushed off to intercept the pass. Worse call other than the reversal.

Oh, come on, man. Coxie saw that White was gonna run, and started blocking the cornerback. Then inexplicably, White threw it STRAIGHT to the cornerback. I suggest re-watching that play again.

I mean, he did make a few plays. The long pass to Jones was on the money. The RPO TD pass to Coxie was executed flawlessly. A couple of good reads to Joey. And to actually get that last pass off to Joey wasn't too shabby - although it was weak.

I imagine in practice he makes these kinds of plays routinely. And since the QB is not hit in practice, he probably never turns it over then.

But something has to give with his fumbles.

Right on. I think BW should get a lot of credit for the throws that he made to bring us back. Like the ULM game, I'm starting to see some fire in him.

Tiger87 - So in the Norvell presser today, a reporter mistakenly asked Norvell ""Correct me if I'm wrong here, It seemed like all four turnovers happened in RPO situations or something similar?"

10:12 mark of this press conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0InfYO1tZC4

So I'm not saying that the reporter reads this board, but as a natural bullshitter in order to support my argument, I exaggerated and said that 3 turnovers were on RPO plays, but later qualified that statement by explaining that the final turnover was actually a QB draw which technically should have been an RPO because to work correctly it should read the safety before running because if the safety bites, it should be a deep pass vs draw. My point was that we didn't call an RPO but a draw, and BW shouldn't have been running regardless.

But it goes to show that whoever asked the question

a) isn't very good at reading comprehension
and
b) doesn't really know what is or is not an RPO
and
c) has no business asking a question that is so inaccurate especially if he's just regurgitating some BS on a message board.

Norvell answered perfectly that only 2 turnovers came on RPO. The other 2 were a sack and a draw. The better question should have been, why continue to try and run the ball with Brady?

Norvell said something to the point of, I thought my play calls were going to be successful when I made the calls. (That's a tactical answer, my question is more strategic)

Norvell actually stated there were 5 play calls that he'd like to have back too. I know every coach says this, but he took some ownership. I love our coach and this team. And now that we know BW is our QB no matter what (if he doesn't get subbed after 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter for a least one series, then he'll never get subbed) then I guess I'll just hop on this BW ride or die bus with Norvell too.
