NIU Sculpture
Barsema and friends put this NIU Sculpture up to promote the NIU brand on social media. God bless Barsema and all he does for this University. We can all chip in, big or small, and continue to promote and sustain NIU any way we are able.

ISU has something similar for years and I've seen it on social media for years now.. I'm glad NIU finally has something just like it

We should also have one of these by the convo center and put up other collegiate looking Sculptures/Scenery(Ivy, Clocktower, Trees, etc.) because a lot of pictures are taken around that area on graduation and we currently only have a bell that people like up to take pictures with. In the inside of the Convo, they just have a black curtain back drop .... Imagine if we had one of these over there or a giant NIU huskie plaque that people would take photos with instead.

Could put a dark-colored flat on top with portable steps behind just for graduation, and let grads take pics with family members standing on top of the NIU. Might become a tradition.

Are you talking about the "victory bell"? If so I or Larry Gribble, too drunk to remember, were the first to ring it in the middle of the night back in 1961 or 1962. On our way back to Douglas(?) hall from riding horses south of Lincoln Hwy. I remember going to breakfast and everyone talking about someone ringing the bell. After that many others rang the bell until I believe they locked it somehow.
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, the victory bell, a young lady and I rang it back in 1973 after sharing a memorable and pleasant first time experience for both of us! It was not locked that evening
