Good Game Temple! Best of luck until we meet again.
Temple can be a real pain when you play them up in Philly. Especially a noon kickoff and their are about 14 people in the seats in that caverness NFL stadium.

Good game, Temple. You took advantage of all our mistakes, and did just enough to win.
About the Magnifico catch, every replay I saw looked like he caught it, until the last one, which you can clearly see the ball hitting the ground, changing direction, falling into his lap, and then he gathered it back up to his chest.
But the ball definitely changed direction.
However, it was close enough that I was a little surprised they overturned the call.

I don't make excuses. We both stepped in the same ring together and traded blows. Memphis was on the receiving end of the Temple TKO.

I hope temple or Tulane get ranked to keep multiple AAC teams ranked as Memphis is going to drop out. Selfishly I prefer it is Tulane as we are playing them next.

Virginia should drop out. If psu beats Iowa the Hawkeyes might drop out. Could make room for Tulane. Still think Temples loss to Buffalo will keep us out, will need to beat SMU next week to get in.

Attendance was 34,5xx. Lower bowl was pretty much filled. Looked like more than the announced. Pretty funny coming from a UC fan though. You guys don’t exactly crush it historically.

14 of whom know the difference between "their" and "there".
The place was packed today, crowd made a difference.

I agree with your post mostly. There wasn’t anything clear or definitive in the replay though. It appears, is not the same as irrefutable evidence.
Bottom line, Tigers didn’t play well enough to win. You drop the rock 3x and throw a pick, we were lucky it was a ballgame.

Temple was the better team today and deserved the win. However, the last play was a catch, there was ball movement but the ball never hit the ground.
That was a blown call.

After 3 turnovers in the 1st half I felt lucky we were only down 9 at HT! But I found it interesting. Temple ground it out, they got their 3 points on each turnover and that, combined with their Defense they showed Grit N' Grind.
Memphis Offense strikes quick, but at the expense of 4 potential turnovers against a Defense like Temple? Norvell is a Gambler and goes for every 4th down conversion. Temple took the FGs on each turnover and won by 2. Temple won the Chess match.
RE: ***Official Temple v #23 Memphis Game Thread***
I had to miss the game today due to a family event but heard about the controversial play. I will not comment directly since I still haven't seen it. I can tell you partisan announcers, or lack of rules knowledge do creep into some games.
My example is the PSU/IOWA game that I did get to watch. A controversial play at the goal cost PSU a TD as the call was overturned. As it turns out the announcers looked at the ball carrier's knee when they really needed to look at the wrist of the ball carrier. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that while the hand being down does not end the play, if the wrist hits the ground the play is done. At least that's what the replay officials seemed to be looking at and made sense.
The point is that replay officials look at different things than we can imagine at times and (hopefully) know the rules better than anyone.
