I use Youtube TV. $49.99 up to 6 simultaneous users. I have tried DirecTV Now and Sony Vue. So far I feel YouTube TV has been the best for the price.

What has differentiated YoutubeTV from Playstation Vue? It looks like PS Vue may be the most channels of any option.

VUE has multiple plans starting at $49.99 up to $84.99. If you want Sports it is another $10. I tried Vue it was ok but you can't pause live TV. I have a vacation home and tried to use my Vue account when I was there. After 2 weeks being away from my billing zip code, Sony blocked my account. I tried to use a VPN to get around this but Sony has blocked Nord VPN's IP addresses.

I have not had that issue with YouTube TV.

It appears PlayStation Vue is being sold and may be on the ropes. That’s disappointing as they seemed to have the best overall channel lineup of any streaming service.

The article has a valid point. It was a huge fail to name it what they did. Your entire marketing campaign requires you to explain to customers that you don’t need a PlayStation system to use it.

FireTv/Stick now has an official YouTube TV App available. You no longer have to hack it to load the App.

The first major casualty of the streaming wars. Playstation Vue will be shutting down its service in January 2020.

Yeah, got to blame it on the name and marketing options. It never felt like Sony really cared whether it lived or died. Kind of like the PSP.

RE: OT: Cable alternatives
I'm probably going to finally cut the cable cord this spring when our contract is up. In terms of getting the regional channels that air JMU football games, I've got some questions.

Does anyone have a specific streaming cable service (youtube tv, fubo, hulu, etc) that offers NBC Sports Washington (both channels) and MASN (both channels). It's not 100% clear if some services offer these RSNs from their channel line ups, since they only list NBCSW once without specifying if both channels are available. I think MASN still isn't even on any streaming services. Word is Peter Angelos is refusing to update to the present day and offer streaming for MASN.

Alternatively, if I were to have a service that doesn't carry these channels, are there black out restrictions in Virginia that keep you from being able to stream either MadiZONE or Flo Sports even if that game is airing on a regional TV channel? Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks for any clarification you all can provide.

RE: OT: Cable alternatives
There is a thread over in the Lounge -> Conference Realignment board that talks about the different options (with prices and sports channel specific breakdowns) and is kept up to date by MWC Tex in the OP. https://csnbbs.com/thread-820296.html

I know both Hulu Live TV and YouTube Live have the local NBC Sports channels. I also know that I was able to watch JMU games on either Madizone or Flo whether they were on Linear TV or not. The problem is that if a game is on Flo, it won't be shown on Madizone, but you can listen to it there (I think that's right, but it's been so damn long since I've had JMU sports, I might have forgotten).

EDIT: Just saw you were asking about MASN too. The only provider I saw with MASN was AT&T, which also has NBC Sports Washington.

EDIT 2: Just saw Solohawks posted a very comprehensive list towards the end of the thread. Linking here for posterity.

RE: OT: Cable alternatives
Then if MadiZONE and Flo are still able to stream games even if they're airing on the linear regional channels, then I should be set one way or another and not feel I have to pick one option over another due to availability of the RSNs.

Thanks
