Agree 1000%. This season JMU has 4 OOC games.
- FBS game
- Good OOC game on paper vs Chatty
- 2 games (STFU, Morgan St) that JMU should win easily and can be used to iron out issues and get young players some game time/experience.

As opposed to what some folks think JMU cannot just make whatever schedule they want, it takes tow interested schools to schedule a game. JMU has a solid scheduling philosophy and playing in the CAA will typically play an FBS team and 4-5 ranked FCS school prior to the playoffs.....which is the ultimate goal in scheduling the set the team up for a deep playoff run with home playoff games.

Agree 100%, no reason not to play 9 conference games and this would help all the CAA teams in terms of scheduling.

Yes. It helps you not have to see the same messages over & over again from Dukeman.

Too bad there's not a visible stat on who's been blocked the most on the board...kind of a shaming thing.

To get back to our regularly scheduled tread I for one am looking forward to the home opener this weekend. To be able to spend an afternoon/evening in the lovely Shenandoah Valley at BFS watching the Dukes play football and to wander around the beautiful JMU campus is a great way to spend the day. Hope we have a great crowd and everyone is cheering and tossing steamers like there is no tomorrow!! Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!!

I have had chats with some the AD's at JMU and they all say we have a hard time getting FBS opponents now. Most of the scheduled games were done before the 2016 NC game and repeat apperance in'17. They just don't want to chance the possibilty of a loss. Our perfomance againt FBS teams speak millions to our capabilty's on the field.

Is there any way to record the game this weekend or any chance that someone could record upload to Youtube or the board? I have a prior obligation during the game but want to be able to watch later. Highlights never do it for me even though I expect a lot from this game.

I think this game is a Madizone telecast. Flocast starts next week.. Dont know if Madizone is available after the day its played or not.

Yeah, I guess it was Akron I was thinking of. For some reason, I thought Birdsong got the shoulder injury in Toledo. I guess it was Akron.

A lot of FBS teams should find us attractive. After all, we have now lost to our last two FBS opponents. How about the MAC. Have we ever won a game against a MAC team. I know we lost to Akron and Toledo. I think Akron paid us $550K and we only lost by 2 points, 35-33. I think we aren't beating the bushes enough to find quality games.

MAC teams probably aren’t willing to play JMU anymore. Nor pay JMU enough $$$. And they sure as hell aren’t going to play JMU @ JMU. Have to have the 6 home games. To do that AND have a I-A game, have to get cupcakes willing to come to JMU for 1 and dones.

We have Chattanooga THIS YEAR, literally in 3 weeks and we’re still bitching.

We could host Alabama and lose and people would still *****. Some people love being miserable.

My only problem with Lehigh is it was a 1 for 1 deal as opposed to a 2 for 1.

Agreed on StFU. They’ll be better than Morgan St & way better than Morehead next year. The last I remember from back in 2016 is the NEC was at 46 schollies. Don’t know what they’re at now, but some of their teams are playing G5s- ex Wagner only lost to UConn 24-21, and Robert Morris lost to Buffalo 38-10. Duquesne, the top NEC team with multiple pro prospects, smoked Towson in the playoffs last year. Will be interesting to see what they do @ YSU & @ UNH.

The one thing JMU absolutely should not be doing is scheduling games vs non scholly Morehead (next year) or any other Div 1 in name only, non scholly Pioneer teams..
