Georgia Tech didn't look any better against Clemson than Alabama did.

Why cover a guy when you have confidence the QB can't get the ball to him?

Per Luke Fickell, UC switched to a base defense after the half because they didn't need to stunt/blitz anymore. UCLA netted over 100 yards on two plays. It took them 60 plays to get the other 100 yards.

The defense was actually improved, though due to offensive ineptitude that didn't translate well onto the scoreboard. Special teams still look just as horrific. The jury is out on the offense. If what we saw was a write off game where they're feeling out who can do what on the field .... fine. If we're going to get infinite wildcat out of the shotgun a big thumbs down from me.

And he is actually doing a good job of recruiting. Collins has brought in a multiple of the number of 4* players in transfers and recruits than PJ got in the last decade in less than one cycle. And the straw that is stirring this drink isn't Collins ... it's George O'Leary. And O'Leary's first season was pretty brutal too, but it was a pretty clear trajectory from there forward. Tonight on the public relations front was a giant F. As for the immediate on the field product jury is out but eagerly waiting the USF result, as it will be a good comparison to last year's shortcomings and showing how this season will pan out against the Coastal ... which is several standard deviations crappier than Clemson.

USF is probably a must get. @Temple might be a 3 score loss and then you’re 1-3 going into the meat of conference play.

USF is going to be a difficult game for the Yellow Jackets. They are stocked full of Florida talent and they have a good coach in Charlie Strong. I think Strong will be in year 2 or 3 of his building USF while the Jackets are in year one with inexperience all over the place. GT is talented but inexperienced. That QB was fast and elusive but inexperienced in that system. Its going to be a long first season for the Yellow Jackets.

OK, forget everything that I said about USF. They are TERRIBLE! Currently being run off their own field 42-0 by a Wisconsin team that finished last season 8-5. GT looked like a playoff team compared to USF.

Wake is in a shootout with Utah St . Utah St winning in the 3rd 28-24.

Damn, can’t believe USF has fallen this far. First time I’m doubting that Charlie Strong is a good hire.

Dear Deaks. Your running game is hot garbage. Fortunately you can throw the ball. Congrats on the win.

One of the worst games I've ever seen result in a win... that looked bad.

I’m kinda upset I lost my Pickem game, but good win Wake over a team that that should be among the best in the MWC.

They didn't deserve it. They won largely because the average Wake WR has about 4-6" of height advantage over the average Utah State DB.

Glad I chose FSU team speed over Boise State's unknown QB.

24-6 FSU leads early 2nd qtr.

I always heard from UH fans that Kendall Briles would make an instant impact, did not think it would be 21 points in the first qtr.

NC state looking strong especially that defense. This the year the wolf pack ascends to the next level?

That was very un-Wolfpack-ish.

I mow the lawn. I come back. FSU loses. *scratches head*

Did the Boise QB suddenly find himself, or did Willy Taggert bury himself?

Well with ECU losing to NCSU, it’s really nice seeing Florida St lose at home to a middle of the pack MWC team in Boise St.

I dont't care what the offense does, you can't let your defense play 100+ plays

FSU has lost their last 3 season openers. I have no faith in Taggart
