Not for ECU. They just played NC State last night, then have another match coming up on Sunday @ UNCG.

Elon beat the Hawks 3-1. Ladies let up a 1st half goal. Were able to tie it up in the 2nd half but let up 2 late goals to drop the game

5 minutes in NU’s Keeper got a red card for a handball outside the box. We scored on the free kick, then controlled the rest of the match while the Huskies played with 10. Crazy turn of events and we took full advantage.

RE: 2019 Women's Soccer Thread
I may go to Sunday's game. It's not every day that I can see a Women's World Cup (or equivalent in another sport) athlete play for a mid-major (or for any school while still in college). Schneider has been a great goalkeeper, whereas Hofstra wins with offense and by not allowing shots. You have a better goal differential. The RPI has Hofstra in 24th and by far the best in the CAA, with you second best in 86th. With Hofstra's last two games at bad William & Mary and Towson, Hofstra just needs a draw against you and two wins to stay in first. I went to CAA Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer Semifinals, but never a regular season game.
MLB teams have added netting to protect fans from foul balls. Hofstra Soccer Stadium has something dangerous when balls leave the field. The ball could go over the bleachers, hit the front of something to send it down to the bleachers, and then hit a fan on the back of the head.

Wait. Are we worried about soccer balls hitting people in the head and causing injuries?

LOL. I'm not saying that a soccer ball to the head of a fan is good, but it's not at all similar to a rocket foul ball lined in the direction of a fan that has little time to react.

Precisely what I was thinking. World of difference there.

Hawks got a road draw today and clinched a spot in the CAA tournament. Currently tied with Elon for 2nd but they have the tiebreaker with their win

RE: 2019 Women's Soccer Thread
You had more shots on goal, 7 to 3. Schneider did not have a great game. Three times she punched a ball she couldn't catch, albeit they weren't closely. One of those times Hofstra's first and only previous Women's Soccer coach criticized Schneider for not catching it. She loaned me a cushion to put on the wet bleachers. It rained in the whole second half, but I didn't want to leave early.
https://uncwsports.com/news/2019/10/20/w...-draw.aspx is titled "CAA's Top Two Teams Play to 1-1 Draw."
You and Elon both play fourth place Delaware. If Delaware wins both and Hofstra doesn't win both, Delaware will jump from fourth to first.

RE: 2019 Women's Soccer Thread
Hawks got the home win tonight versus JMU. Hofstra and Delaware got wins so we remain one point behind 1st place Hofstra and 1 point ahead of 3rd place Delaware.
Big road match Sunday for at least 2nd place and the right to host a Semifinal tournament match
The Tribe hosts Hofstra Sunday and the Tribe is playing for the 6th seed. Very much in contention for the regular season title

Hawks drop the final regular season game @ Delaware 3-2. Hawks rally from a 0-2 deficit to force OT. Delaware got the golden goal, the win, and the 2 seed. Hofstra beat the Tribe 2-1 to secure the 1 seed giving UNCW the 3 seed. Next game will be @ Delaware vs #6 JMU on Friday
