Hopefully, he can get the backup quarterback spot.
Hopefully-- he can get the starter spot.
Not with Wilson there
Yes---I hope he starts even with Wilson there.

Only way he sits Wilson is if he's injured and nobody wants to gain a job through someone else's
Misfortune, that said I hope he's the backup and would love it if he started for the Redskins
They do need a q.b.

Yea--I am sure the 93 democrats-errrr-socialists that are running for potus have the same thought. They really don't want to be POTUS because that would be a misfortune for/to TRUMP to lose the election. Just kidding---I see what you are saying.

Don't think PL is a candidate to start anywhere in the NFL at this point. He has the talent but not the track record & he now has a bad rep around the league. He just needs to make the Seattle squad, sign a multi-year contract & then play if Wilson gets hurt (PL does fit the Seattle system very well) or get traded where he has a chance to compete for the starting role somewhere else - hopefully somewhere in a system that fits his game.

Here's a novel idea, maybe he could dedicate himself to learning other existing systems to increase his marketability. Not that I don't agree that he needs to be in one in which he fits now.

Agree, maybe down the line. Right now, he just needs to hang on & get a contract. That said, better for him to find a system like Seattle's where his talents seem to lend themselves to success under that system. Not saying he can't adapt but study & adaptation don't seem to be his long suit.
Similarly, many didn't think much of Wilson's chances in the league as a traditional pro-set QB out of college but to Carroll's credit, Seattle implemented a system that fits Wilson's skills very well.

RE: Paxton Lynch
Paxton isn't going to go from jobless to an NFL starter. What he needs is to win a long term back up position and hope that leads to some regular season playing time down the line, either due to injury or a slump by the 1st string QB. Or simply grabbing another teams interest in need of help at QB.
The first step is to win a job as a #2 QB. Get a regular NFL gig as a backup, then build from there.

RE: Paxton Lynch
Paxton has not looked good. His short throws have been off. One good long ball got a pass interference call. Another I think was a broken route. Looked like the receiver should have turn out rather than in. If he had the ball was there.

RE: Paxton Lynch
A lot games for us, he was off early, missing short throws. I guess he needs to do something different to get ready, or maybe that's just the way he is going to be.

SEAHAWKS have Wilson in for most of the game tonight against the VIKINGS but....Paxton has also played. Game is still on and Seattle is losing 25-16 with about 5 minutes left in the game.

RE: Paxton Lynch
Just had a helmet to helmet hit on Paxton. Hope he is OK. His neck really snapped back on that hit.

RE: Paxton Lynch
Paxton out of the game. They are probably checking him out. That was a very ugly hit. At least he walked off the field by himself.

RE: Paxton Lynch
Paxton just took a vicious helmet to helmet hit. He walked off under his own power. J.T. Barret getting some minutes.

Good Lord.
Gotta go with the concussion protocol, right?
