This should be a no brainer, especially with Marshall's ties to the Greenbrier, which for years has had a world class culinary apprenticeship program in place.

Not only Hospitality and Hotel Management but also a culinary school. With a proper culinary school you could get at least 3-4 undergrad degrees and 1-2 master's degrees. Just those 2 programs would set up nicely on the road to becoming an R1 university.

Like everyone else I'd love to see a law school but unless it was done privately then that won't happen. The school up north would def fight that tooth and nail. It really doesn't seem right that a school named after the 4th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court doesn't have a law school.

Marshall has added a new degree offering of a Physician Assistant Program which is part of the Marshall University Joan Edwards School of Medicine. This degree is very much in demand in the US.

Marshall's Bill Noe flight school at Yeager Airport is starting to take shape. Classes should start in the fall of 22. On sight classes will take place at Yeager Airport. Off sight classes will be at the South Charleston campus of Marshall University. This is the first major program the South Charleston campus has had where you don't have to go to or through Huntington.

Its not ridiculous, calm down. The Charleston campus is growing and can only be good for Marshall in general. They are actually getting ready to build the first dormitory there for students.

The Charleston campus started out as 3 office rooms in South Charleston in the early 80s and has grown to now is a 10 building campus overlooking South Charleston.

People always complain that Charleston is a WVU town. One way to combat that is growing the South Charleston campus even more and if the aviation school is successful that is the perfect way to be more visible.

Why are you hyperventilating over something positive for the school and what other schools do all the time. For example LSUs medical school isn't in Baton Rouge, its in New Orleans.

Since those 75 team members/coaches/etc died in a plane crash on Nov. 14, 1970, I wonder, with this being a flight school, whether they'll plan to do something special in a commemorative spirit to that tragedy (either within the structure of the building or within the aviation program itself), in addition to what you already have on campus of course.

Haven't heard anything on that. Both planes that Marshall will use are already at Yeager airport. The building being constructed now at Yeager will have a flight simulator in it. Also with conjunction of the flight school Marshall is also getting a plane maintenance school at Tri-State airport in Huntington.
