Who are you talking about?
McNeal's last year playing D1 he was a backup for the team that finished 106 kenpom. (2018)
The other possible starter is Cumberland (maybe both start) and he was the best player on kenpom 187 Oakland.
McNeal is 6-1. I'm talking about your center situation.
They don't have a center situation, which is why they are all so confused.
What is your prediction? I will add it to the total.
I welcome more input or updates to previous predictions from all.
Here is the latest....
Predicted Rank by Average:
1.Memphis
2. Houston
3. Cincy
4. WSU
5. UConn
6. USF
7. Temple
8. Tulsa
9. SMU
10. UCF
11. ECU
12. Tulane
I don't know if I have given a prediction yet, but I would say that list looks pretty good except I would switch USF up to 4th place and I would put ECU in 8th or 9th place.
Based on the word filtering back from ECU Summer practices it sounds like Jackson, Robinson, Baruti, James and Coleman are legit. Miles is still not on campus yet, so it is hard to say how good ECU will actually be until he is on the court with Gardener and Leday, but things sound promising.

Temple finishes between 4 and 6. It's amazing how people don't seem to know the team that just finished third is returning more minutes and scoring than everyone but USF. How in God's name do people have the balls to pick us 7 and 8?

Which teams can you not see finishing ahead of you out of UH, Cincy, Memphis, WSU, USF, and UCONN?
And for the record, I do have Temple finishing 7th behind the aforementioned schools above.

I suppose because many didn’t think you guys were that great despite finishing with the same conference record as UCF. That thought was backed up when y’all got bounced in the “play in” game. You guys very well could finish higher than 7th or 8th though.

RE: Your Predictions AAC Basketball - Post NBA Deadline
I've got Temple lumped in with UConn and USF. I think UH, Cincy, Memphis, WSU all have a chance to compete for the league title if things go right for them. I don't think Temple/UConn/USF have that high of a ceiling. But, I do think that each team in that group is capable of winning games against the 4 I list above them, AND I think they have the ability to finish above a couple of those teams, again depending how things shake out for all involved.
Tier 1 (alpha order). Capable of winning league championship if they reach ceiling
Cincy
Houston
Memphis
Wichita St.
Tier 2 (alpha order). Capable of beating teams in Tier 1. Capable of finishing ahead of some but not all teams in Tier 1.
UConn
USF
Temple

In conference? Seems bold.
Otherwise, not that bold. A team can pick up their 10th loss in the F4 and have had a hell of a season. Memphis could be a monster by March.

I just think they’ve been the lowest IQ basketball team in the league the last few years. They have plenty of talent but also plenty of guys who don’t seem to have a great feel for the game.
Rose has been a huge disappointment. His decision making is about as bad as it can get for a guy with his talent and athleticism.
Maybe that changes under a new coach, but msn, they just didn’t have a soul all last season despite winning a few big games

RE: Your Predictions AAC Basketball
Full scales practices starts next month and the season fast approaches.
What is your projection?
Here is my revised guess:
1. WSU
2. Houston
3. Cincy
4. Memphis
5. USF
6. UConn
7. Temple
8. Tulsa
9. SMU
10. ECU
11. UCF
12. Tulane
I am wavering a bit on WSU due to their loss of Allen and Temple is the wild card.

Agree that Rose and NPL, have not shown great judgment, but look for both of them to have an outstanding year especially since HC McKie will have the team running more. Both are deadly in the open court. Rose has also greatly improved his three-point shooting.
Transfer James Scott has excellent judgment and it’s my view he will fill Alston’s shoes, and then some, as he’s a better three-point shooter, and can get to the hoop more often and with ease as he’s quicker than Alston.
Also, Hamilton has improved his game and will be a force to be reckoned with, and even D.Moore has improved his game. Freshman D. Dunn is also ready to play and contribute.
I look for Temple to finish higher than Houston, WSU.USF, and UCF. Temple did beat UConn twice last year, but with UConn improving their roster, both teams should be closer matched this season.

RE: Your Predictions AAC Basketball
I group in top tier in no particular order- Memphis, Temple, Cinn, and UConn. Need to
see Memphis and Cinn play. Will know more after some pre-conference games area played.
Temple did play with low IQ last year as Rose, NPL, Alston, would keep shooting in a particular game even if they were off, rather than distribute the ball to other good shooters. Hopefully, they’m Correct that problem.
Temple lost it’s entry game into the NCAA tournament, in part, because Rose was hurt, and played poorly.
Temple returns a team that is mostly intact thT beat both Houston and UCF last year. A team that has the most good players in the conference. A team that was the third highest in scoring in the conference, and as you will, Temple won’t lose a beat with transfer James Scott inserted in the line-up for the departed Shizz Alston. A team the had a positive turnover margin over it’s opponents, took more and took more foul-shots than opponents. A team that will be taller defensively inside, and will protect the rim and rebound better, by not having it’s bigs stray from the rim.

Why no Houston or WSU? They may have the 2 best coaches in the league, and both rosters have a lot of talent

Without Quentin Grimes, Houston will be in the top 3-4 teams in the conference. Add Grimes to the equation....

RE: Your Predictions AAC Basketball
Players play the game. Don’t see either Houston nor WSU rosters being as deep in talent as the four teams I named in the top tier of the AAC.
Also see HC McKie as a proven assistant coach who helped Temple be successful last season, and has coached under some terrific NBA coaches like Larry Brown, plus he was an excellent NBA player. Do think he’ll bring energy and move Temple in a new positive direction that college basketball needs to move to.
