If I'm not mistaking....

Western has more NCAA Tourney wins (19) than the 4 protected CUSA teams combined and UAB (10)has more than 3 schools ODU (3), Middle(4) and FAU(0), combined. UNCC (7)

Combined the 4 schools have been ranked a total of 7 times...ODU 1, Middle 1 UNCC 5. Western 22 times, UAB 6

Hell even Tech has 4 NCAA wins and been ranked a couple times

If we want to go the football route....combined UAB and Western have more CUSA championships. Western alone is tied with all 4 protected CUSA schools.

Any GM that would protect UNCC needed to be replaced at once. Then go and protect FAU...two of the losing schools in CUSA in basketball and football over the past 5 years. Protecting those 2 cant be made up by picking Houston

While we're picking random things from the past, ODU basketball also has a national championship.

I would absolutely trade WKU and UAB and CUSA-Texas for Houston right now. I would not be offended at all if you felt the same way and said the same about us.

I think a strong case can be made for all of WKU, UAB, Southern Miss, La Tech, North Texas.

On top of the schools we kept. I for sure would want all of the schools mentioned insead of MAC or Sunbelt teams.

But in general I don't have that big of a problem with how it's starting. Let's see how CLT finishes before throwing shade.

I didnt avoid UNCC F4, it's 4 of the 7 overall NCAA wins. In case you didn't notice I did not list Western's F4, E8 or 7 sweet 16s

Protecting UNCC is a homer pick and not result based. Hell based off results UNCC would be a bottom 2 round draft choice...at best. It's like protecting your walk on that comes in and plays when up 25 points
