I know that. I knew that when I saw the OP's handle.

Sounds like they are trying to become some sort of cross between Amazon and EBay. Sounds like if that succeeds, they will probably end up employing more people, but this is a necessary interim. My guess is that maybe they've reached the point where the pillow market is tapering off, so they are trying to create a new revenue stream.

A good time to perform the transition, since none of the workers should have any issue finding a new job immediately. Not in this economy.

MyPillow Laying Off 150 Workers
I heard an interview somewhere with the guy. Apparently he’s an evangelical and the only reason he got into the pillow business was the furtherance of his ministry.
He’s a recovering alcoholic and coke head (I think that’s what it was) and when he turned his life around he started My pillow by going to conferences and vendor shows, selling them onesie-twosie to attendees, indy hotel/motel owners, then it boomed into what it is today. He’s made a mint.

If I had to guess, he’s going to move on to doing his ministry more full-time or branching out to other pursuits, whatever his new calling may be.

That and I’d guess you can reach a level of diminishing returns on something with a ten year warranty and most people have pillows.

Who really knows, likely only My pillow guy himself. Doubt it has much to do with politics or who the current occupant of the WH is.

Why is a rather trivial company in the grand scheme laying off a rather trivial number of people again, in the grand scheme 'news'? It's 10% of his workforce. My company did that as well as we're in a different phase of our development.

People are trying to guess since you didn't answer Owl's question of you... and 'Orange Man Bad' is as good a guess as any

You guys just don't even see it do you? 03-zzz Why when Obama was president did a couple posters post the shooting statistics in Chicago nearly every week? Why does every story about a home invader with a gun stopping an intruder warrant a thread? Why does every story about an illegal immigrant committing a crime warrant a thread? Yes, I'm being hyperbolic, but geesh...open thine eyes!

The guy is a vocal trump supporter and has been the subject of other threads here. He comes up when fox shows get the boycott treatment, he's also one of the forces behind the latest abortion movie. I thought that made it somewhat relevant.

RE: MyPillow Laying Off 150 Workers
Mike Lindell gave 1 million dollars to the making of a Pro Life Film and the left is boycotting him. My suspicion is the RWT wants to link this layoff to the success of the boycott, which is not the cause. He is restructuring his business, but his charity remains. He's currently giving his pillows to homeless shelters and other such organizations and has recently sponsored a program related to breaking drug addiction where he's giving a rather large amount for each entering the program, but my details on this one are sketchy since he just announced it within the last few days and I heard the tail end of his interview.

It isn't Orange Man bad as much as it is besmirch or cast aspersions upon those on the right doing good things for humanity.

And you'd be wrong. And to be truthful, I have not even heard of MyPillow being boycotted over the movie. My comment was about him being a fox advertiser when their programs were the subject of advertiser boycotts. And I'm not even saying those boycotts had anything to do with this.

I chalk it up more to just business.

P.S.: Your last sentence is just plain ridiculous.

Further proof that RWT hates America for some reason.
