I thought we were talking pro ball. Did I misspeak? How about Sam Bowie or that big guy Conley played with at osu?

That would be Greg Oden. He went off on Dorsey for 30+ pts after Dorsey talked down about Oden.

Touche'. I stand corrected. I only relied on my failing memory. I left it in my medicine cabinet behind the unused shaving cream. It seemed like a lot more than 17. Maybe it was Dorsey's lack of scoring that I was factoring in. Not good to call out a player of Oden's caliber at the time. Loved Joey though especially what he was obviously saying to the referee when the light was shining through the window in his face when he was on the foul line in one game. Even my failing memory won't forget that.

no, it was 92-76 if I recall correctly. The game was close, but Cal could not figure a way to contain Conley who basically ran the same play over and over again.

My bad. Was referring to the Tennessee/ Ohio St. game.

I hope we land him and I really hope we land him earlier than Christmas. Like Wiseman became, he could be the bell cow of the class. He may not be inclined to be the active recruiter that Wiseman showed to be, but his commitment would give the staff that beacon to use on the other elite recruits.

I think we have several very high profile recruits that are very high on Memphis. However, they want to see how Penny coaches and how is team looks with other high profile players. We had the luxury of Wiseman being one of Penny's high school players. I think once we get into that December and January timeframe and Penny and the players have a had a chance to showcase themselves then we will have multiple recruits commit in a pretty short span. I understand them wanting to wait and see how the team actually performs. Based on the improvement at the end of last season I believe we are going to be a very fun team to watch with the insertion of elite talent to mix with some experienced players.
