The Bobcats brand new staff is off to a flying start. they got commits from 2 of the top rated freshman recruits in the MAC within the past week. Both solidly built wing players that can shoot. Price had more big name offers but the ohio kid Roderick could be a better player. was recruited by OSU but tore his ACL his junior year and the offer never came. got healthy and had a lot of mid major options.

Had we been recruiting either of them?

According to verbalcommits, no.

Not that I am aware of, although I imagine Barlow scouted Roderick and was in a position to be in communication with him. Not trying to paint this as UT's loss is OU's gain, just showing that OU's new staff has gotten quick traction and Barlow's move down there is looking better than it did a week ago. If OU can find a plug and play big guy they could be competitive in the MAC next year with a roster that will improve into the next 2 seasons.

Not exactly upward mobility.

I guess he needed a challenge and more money
