This is the dumbest statement I have seen on these boards this year...and that is saying a LOT.
No one, and I mean NO ONE, puts on events like this without trying to make some profit.
No way in hell that someone would do it at some god forsaken destination and take a loss. Let alone a conference trying to grow it's income.
Houston has a great team this year AND won the game in spite of where it was played, but money interest ALWAYS override what some would consider "fair".

I would’ve been far more concerned as a Houston fan. I’m not sure statistically, but that might’ve been the worst game we played all year. At FEF for sure. And we still had a chance to win or OT several times. We even actually started climbing back into the rebounding battle at the end with a smaller lineup. And had a guy injured. We got plenty of open looks ... just couldn’t buy a bucket. With undersized and less talented players we still played great defense with superior energy IMHO. No way on earth this game should’ve been close and certainly not in doubt at the end.

No more Humble opinions from Tiger fans!
This is a much needed crusade to De-Humbilize Memphis Tigers—starting with their opinions.

I agree 100%. Our guys definitely out hustled their guys. It was clear to me they have more talent. The game came easier to them than it did to us, and yet we put forth max effort and gave ourselves a chance. If I’m Kelvin Sampson, I light my guys up after that performance.

It’s awesome to have players that care that much. I can remember a few guys laughing after a season ending loss just a few short years ago.
Like Josh Pastner?
Give it a break.
You know who he is talking about, and it is not Josh.
I’m almost glad they didn’t call a foul on his last three. Tyler going to do big things as a tiger. Missing one of those free throws could have had a big effect on his confidence. Let it fly Tyler

To our point, Houston just roundly defeated by Cincy playing a Cincy game.

Harris has already been down that road. He made 3 against Yale to send the game into overtime.

They lost to Cincinnati because they didn't play on a neutral court.

The team hardly jacked up threes and didn’t work the ball around etc...
That us a loaded statement and not indicative of the team overall.
Too bad...for you....you didn’t watch more.
Good to hear that this may not have been their typical behavior. I made the comment about only seeing one game this year because I didn't want anyone to assume I was making any sort of broad stmt about the season. I cannot do that. (I was only talking about the beginning of this last game). For me personally, I thought what I was seeing in the beginning of this game was going to make winning very difficult. I found that difficult to watch especially since there were so many things I could be doing in the first weekend sunshine in a while.
You are making a broad statement since you only saw one game. -- I'm only talking about the beginning of the last game.
Do you ever think Duke has played uncharacteristic this year more than once? Yes they have, even with Zion on the court. Sheesh!!!!!! -- never said this is how the tigers always play. In fact, the game I went to they played quite well. I assume that is how they typically play.
I’m piling on. Any ‘fan’ who suddenly decides to watch the third consecutive game of our conference tournament and makes a defining statement about our whole season is cruisin for a bruisin. -- again... was not talking about the season.
Hard to believe anyone was stupid enough to say that out loud. -- Hard to believe others lack reading comprehension then insult others. That is not smart.
But he was. lol --- I think you need to look in the mirror.
As stated previously I was only taking about the Houston game, and how I felt about the flow. Nothing more nothing less. Since this is a game thread everyone should understand this. Also, never said or implied this behavior was typical of the team.

This actually ran thru my head as well after hearing his post game comments. Would have been even worse missing a foul shot.
