Hopefully Croy was just apologizing for the unprofessional behavior of his "best" player.

ProfScott, As for the "best" player on the team, you can continue to have that discussion in your head. There is no doubt in Riverside:

Again, I agree with you that as of Feb 5th (the date the article in the Banner came out), Acquaah was the best. Just not after. Which has been my point all along. The season did not end on February 5th. After February 5th Heading has outscored, outrebounded, and has a huge advantage in shooting percentage. Heading has improved as the season progressed and Acquaah has digressed.
(Side note: I do hope Milan Acquaah matures a bit. Croy seems to be a great player's coach so that bodes well for Acquaah's future. Acquaah does have a lot of potential if he can get his emotions under control. Perhaps even a professional future. Hope he figures it out.)

I just watched the replay of the CBU/UTRGVESPNXBOXID10T game. Levi/Bushwick Bill is a POS. As soon as the elbow was thrown, he ran to the bench to brag about it. When he walked up to shoot the free throws, he was still smiling and he got a T on Croy. Play basketball instead of doing everything you can to be a punk, injure players and get under people’s skin. You are on the court to play ball, so play ball.

Note to anyone who wants to see the play people are talking about -- Milan Acquaah getting ejected and CBU coach getting a technical -it happens in the first 2 minutes of the game between Cal Bap and UTRGV. On the WAC Digital network you can find the replay of this any many other games. Easy to find since it happens at the 18:00 minute mark of the first half.

Just a tip for those that may not know their way around the WAC website or the link to the WAC Digital Network.

I don’t. I hate the nba. It’s like fake basketball. I will catch the occasional Siakam/Raptors game.

In the NBA that might have been called an offensive foul on Acquaah. It was certainly not clear if the forearm landed on Levi and it was clear that Levi was bumping or fouling him. Acquaah threw the forearm to get Levi off of him. That did not warrant an ejection.

Levi definitely knew what he was doing and he was celebrating that afterward. Croy definitely let Lew Hill know what he thought of that type of play after the game. And no, that does not happen in the NBA because Levi would either be called for a defensive foul or Acquaah an offensive foul. The refs in the NBA would not eject Acquaah for that. At the same time, Acquaah has got to learn to deal with the physical style of defense that some defenders are going to throw at him.

Who cares if levi was celebrating. He's the one that GOT punched. I wouldn't expect him to go cry in a corner. The game was clean and somehow levi is still the bad guy lol.
In terms of the nba I was referring more towards the trash talking and getting in peoples heads. Westbrook, Embiid, Stevenson, Garnett all these guys are notorious for getting under the skin of players. High school and college kids always try to emulate whatever the nba players do.

First, there is the question of whether the forearm even landed on Levi. Secondly, this is college basketball. Coaches have control in college and they should not be teaching or encouraging that crap. Save it for the NBA.

Third, the style of ball did not work for UTRGV in the end. Despite the fact that three players fouled out for CBU and one was ejected, CBU still won in OT with their reserves. It was far from a clean game, but the results proved that the style of ball Lew Hill's team plays will only get him so far.
