Because they’re happy to be here for hoops.

They have the biggest hoops fan base - arguable but they seemed to travel the best last year and fill up their gym even if they’re playing devry.

Any of the C-USA folks came here for football, they don’t count and would happily go big 12.

UConn also but they’re more fair weather.

They love their Shockers for sure. Great community atmosphere.

I made the trip last year to Wichita when UH played Michigan and the whole state is basketball crazy. K-state, KU and Wichita fans were all there for all of the games. It happened to be st Patrick’s day so people were more concerned on walking around with corn (I guess a Kansas thing) than their rivalries lol. Was a nice little town though.

Didn’t appreciate the toll road if I remember correctly you had to have exact change and there was no alternate routes to get there from Dallas so I was scrambling to find quarters.

That’s Oklahoma, not Kansas. Our toll roads are also actually well-maintained. In Oklahoma you pay money to drive on the shittiest roads I’ve ever seen.

I'm not sure how you could debate this. It's fairly noticeable when you go from KS to OK on I35

Accurate given everything else being equal. People can jump or drop a tier depending on the team, but this is generally true.

Or maybe we're just trying to keep the chaff from blowing over the border?

But just so you know I-35 isn't a turnpike in Oklahoma except the spur that connects 35 from Enid, Oklahoma to Tulsa. You're using our national interstate system to judge.

Also the only reason there are turnpike are to limit the Tulsa metro's growth. Which is why you can't really drive into or out of the city with out one and honestly have to use them inside the city. OKC has two, one of which goes to Tulsa, the other one connects highways to the one that goes to Tulsa. Look up state history sometime. The State of Seqouya would have been amazing, instead we got stuck with the poor white "Okies" of western Oklahoma.

I thought the southern part of the Kansas turnpike had "camera" tolls so you a bill in the mail.

At the very least there are self-pay stations that take credit cards.

not true...we have a tremendous traveling fan base....check out UC fan attendance in bowl games in the last 10 years. Also, 3x more people go to UC football games. You apparently weren't around here when that clown Tuberville was our coach.

I was also thinking UConn might deserve to be near the top of the list when you consider the combined fanaticism of their basketball fan bases. There are only a couple schools in the country where the women's team is a bigger draw than the men's and one of them is at UConn.

Wichita is definitely either 1 or 2 since their fans don't have football to occupy their time.

that would be amazing and also, you guys would be good again in about two years.

Cheating? What penalties have been handed out from this latest round of shoe company/paying players/hookers/drugs mess?

Answer: not much.

Cheating pays. Sad but true.
