La Tech won at LSU while UAB won at Auburn last night. La Tech’s win got them back in the top 50 RPI while UAB improved 14 spots with their win.

Any room left on the billboard?

Don’t care. It might be something that helps our positioning in terms of a regional, though.

RE: Baseball Games of Interest
Not such much a game of interest but a interesting game:

Charlotte at UAB today at 4:30 pm
- game being played at a high school in Birmingham as UAB baseball got bumped from their own field due to the CUSA softball tournament being held next door at UAB softball (and the UAB softball team failed to qualify for it)
- due to game being played at a high school, there will be no parking at the school baseball field until after 4:00 pm due to school in process and dismissal

Sounds just like something we would do.

That’s either an inexcusable lack of foresight or a colossal lack of giving a s*** on UAB’s part.

If they’re hosting the softball tournament and can’t play on both fields at the same time, don’t schedule a home baseball series that weekend. I gotta assume that’s on UAB because surely the conference could’ve rearranged the baseball schedule enough to accommodate.

I would think it's a combo screwup by UAB and CUSA. Both parties knew well before the season that UAB was hosting the softball tournament at which point someone from UAB should've notified the CUSA office and said "hey, make sure you don't schedule us a home series on this weekend due to the softball tournament using our field for BP and warmups"

UTSA coach resigned today. Not sure if it was his decision or the school’s way of letting him leave graciously as he had been head coach 7 years and with the program as an assistant the previous 12 years before that. The AD says the usual things but the one that jumps out as a stretch is she says it’s a very attractive job. Until they get fan support and a stadium that resembles something besides a little league park they will struggle to find a top notch assistant. And no D1 head coach is leaving for that job unless they’re a native of San Antonio and realize their current job is in jeopardy.

I thought the UTSA coach did a great job considering his circumstances. Same for the Marshall coach.

It’s gotta be a legit resignation rather than a forced one. He probably figured making the conference semifinals was a good high note upon which to go out.
