This is interesting...ECU plays at Ole Miss and at MS State on a Tues and Wed next month... I'd like to see us try to get a series with them instead of the Holy Crosses, Ga Southern's, or Evansville's of the world.

Wednesday night opponent Troy went 2-2 at home over the weekend vs Central Michigan.

Won 3-2 and 7-6 to start then lost final two 5-3 and 5-2.

#8 Louisville losses to UConn
#16 Texas losses to ULL
#2 Vandy losses to #17 TCU

We may move up a little after the weekend. This will be a huge week for our postseason resume. But I’ll say this. I’ll take getting swept by State if it means we end up in the Semis of the CWS like what happened to them last year.

There's a big difference between getting 1 win this weekend vs getting swept. We need to get at least ONE dub.

Wild ending in/at Houston last night. McNeese St trailed 3-1 but scored 2 in the top of the 9th to tie it then McNeese scored 10 runs in the 14th and ended up winning 13-5. Not sure I've ever seen a team score that many in a single extra inning

Florida lost i believe. But someone once said mid week games don't matter....

Florida actually lost Tuesday and Wed to unranked teams. Oh well...mid week, who cares. Should remain #3 in the country right? But let USM lose a mid week game (or 2 in one week) to an unranked team and see how that works out.

Let’s just handle our business this weekend. At the end of the day, when it gets regional time, your weekend rotation matters much more than anything midweek. Lose too many midweek, you’ll be out of hosting range, but doesn’t mean you aren’t a good team. Have three great starters and you can go places.

But back to original point, let’s just beat State and worry about rankings later. We keep winning, we’ll move up.
