CUSA Basketball Saturday 2/9
All times eastern

4:00 (T8) FAU at (T2) UTSA [cusatv]
5:00 (T8) La Tech at (T5) USM [espn+]
6:00 (4) WKU at (T2) UNT [stadium fb] (Col Bask's GOTD)
7:00 (1) ODU at (T8) MTSU [stadium]
8:00 (14) Charlotte at (T5) UAB [espn+]
8:00 (T5) Marshall at (12) Rice [espn+]
9:00 (T8) FIU at (13) UTEP [espn+]

Fun fact, this was the first week in which all games were played in a different hour (except for two ruining it, of course). Pretty neat. Wish all Saturdays were like this. CUSA ALL DAY

Alvin Kamara is gonna be in the house today to watch his good buddy, USM Guard Tyree Griffin. Kamara has been tweeting about our bball program all week. Pretty good pub for the program I must say!

RE: CUSA Basketball Saturday 2/9
Standings/records BEFORE today’s games. The only 2 tiebreakers I know I have correct in the standings is UTSA as they beat UNT as well as USM as they beat both UAB and Marshall. As far as the rest I just went with how yahoo sports had them listed so the standings may be off yet the records are correct

ODU 9-3
UTSA 8-3
UNT 8-3
WKU 7-4
USM 6-5
UAB 6-5
Marshall 6-5
FIU 5-6
FAU 5-6
La Tech 5-6
MTSU 5-6
Rice 4-7
UTEP 2-9
Charlotte 2-10

That could work for us.

Rice gotta get a win on the home court tonight if we’re gonna make any kind of move here.

FAU is the schizophrenic of the bunch. Losing to Charlotte and beating ODU. Predicting what we will do is a losing proposition.

James Harden and I think a few of his Rockets' teammates were at the entire WKU-Rice game Thursday night (staying even for the two overtimes which impressed me). I think Kenneth Faried might have been one of the other players? Whomever it was had a small boy who was sitting on Harden's lap for awhile. I'm guessing the WKU players were excited about Harden - he shows up to 2 or 3 Rice games a year and has done some stuff with the players on the side too since he and the Owls coach are good friends.

The overall size of WKU is giving us fits. I love our team, but we have to get better at playing against the bigger lineups, or we have to get bigger too.

North Texas 15

Big win. As bad as North Texas shot first half we should have really been up 40 at the half and I woudo have still been nervous...We tried to give lead up but Bassey played like a beast tonight. We take of business at home next two games we will be in good shape heading into bonus play..
