Well considering our season has been an utter disappointment, quick question fellow Herdsmen how close is Elmore to the scoring record after tonight?

Marshall wins easy tonight if they shoot well. They had a horrible shooting night. There was one possession late where they missed 4 straight shots after getting 3 offensive rebounds. You could tell they aren't anywhere close to the team they were earlier in the season.

UTEP holds on for the win.

8,195 is the reported attendance. That’s the biggest crowd a CUSA team has reported all season. If you can get that kind of support in Frisco it’s going to make for a fun tournament. Hell, I’ll take half of that plus whatever else the other universities bring.

I thought ties are based on overall record? That seems stupid if true. I would go for head-to-head record first, and then best win after that. Overall record means nothing other than one team probably had an easier NC schedule than another.

Ties are based on group record then record vs best team, second best team, etc until they break the tie.

If you’re referring to the standings I listed there’s probably several out of order. I did 1-5 with tiebreaker as that was easy. The 6th place tie between UAB and Marshall will be decided on Thursday. As far as all the teams with records of 5-7 I just put them in random so no clue on how those would pan out as of now.

The five way tie right now would be broken in this order.

Rice 2-0
FAU 3-1
FIU 3-1
LT 1-3
MTSU 0-4

There's a lot of good teams in CUSA this year. Somebody good was going to slip just out of attrition.

First round bye is meaningless? I think not.

If you're in the top pod you have a 4 out of 5 chance of a bye. If you're not in the top pod you have a 0% chance of a bye. With so many good teams in CUSA it is hard to imagine a team winning 4 games in 4 days. Possible, but very difficult.

I watched the Rice-Marshall game. For much of the game, it looked like Marshall had no fire left. But something lit midway through the second half, and they looked good. Hard to figure them or UAB right now.

I think FIU is also 3-1. And Rice's last two games are in Florida. MTSU and Louisiana Tech have to win games next weekend to move into Pod 2.
