Democrats again proving to be the "adults in the room"... will not strip Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee of their ability to subpoena witnesses. Of course, republicans will not reciprocate when they someday regain control, but right is right.

This sounds about right. I'm an independent because I have more Republican stances but I can't stand how frequently and egregiously they violate norms.

I think Democrats are better for the country, even if the philosophy underlying their worldview is stupid and leads them in stupid directions.

Here's what I saw: GOP tried to jam through a SC nominee to get a boost for the midterms. Despite credible allegations against him, they had to be forced by a retiring Senate to put together a fake investigation. Then they voted him in while playing the victims and fearmongering about all men being inundated by unsubstantiated sexual assault claims.

I'm sure the Republicans have a different interpretation, but that episode makes me less likely to vote R, not more.

This is actually a good example of what Republicans are like. Democrats at least have the ability to be civil. I'm not sure most Republicans even have that gear.
