You guys are tough. WKU is tough. ODU is tough. Charlotte is tough. FAU is tough. FIU is tough. UNT is tough. THis league is tough.

Problem is we (and I really mean US, crap the bed OOC) and when we beat each other up in conference, we just get the nice shot up the chocolate whizwang.

Done bun can’t be undone. None of us really set ourselves up for a good shot for an at large this year. Many of us have some good wins to go along with some bad losses. UNT didn’t have either but without some signature OOC wins you really have to run the conference gambit. So....nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy a competitive conference race, root for our champ and hope for a couple NIT bids with some deep runs. I see a lot of teams with some good young talent, I think in the next three years we’ll get the second bid and hopefully it will become more regular after that. I can’t point to any team that’s not putting in some effort torwards improving basketball, which is something that couldn’t be said a few years ago. Let’s enjoy the carnage and see what happens. 04-cheers

The good news is I think we will be well-represented by whoever from CUSA makes it to NCAA. I am pretty confident any of our top teams can pull the 12-5 upset, especially if they hook us up with a .500 P5 school

Will this be 5 straight years should we win 1st round again?

Is it UAB twice, MTSU twice, and Marshall once and all won a first round game? If so, THAT is impressive!

That is something I never thought of. Would that not suggest that the stature of this league should be higher than a 1 bid?

Perhaps but not necessarily. It does mean that we have gotten unfairly low seedlings though, which can also be unfair to the teams matched up against cusa teams. A team that is truly deserving of a 2-5 seed should not be paired up against a 12-14 seed that is talented enough to warrant a top 10 seed.

It also puts some pretty unforgiving expectations on whichever of our teams emerges victorious from this year's free-for-all in Frisco.

But I'm sure that's a burden that any of us would be delighted to accept.

UAB once, MTSU twice, Marshall once

Tulsa won the year before those 4 years. IIRC and lost in the first round to UCLA
