I agree. Hating the SOTU is one of the few bipartisan things left.

I was alluding to the fact that if Trump did it, the left would go into full meltdown about "how could he kill an American institution like the SOTU".....

Even if they completely agreed, TDS would Trump (pun intended) any rational thought.

Why doesn't he just go to SE Ohio or Eastern Kentucky and do the SOTU 'rally style' with Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Sean Hannity and Steve King on the undercard.

Unless the Dems want to start another precedent (like Harry did with the nuclear option) so that Trump is invited after his terms have ended.

Good read on what the President/Pelosi can do in this situation. Long story short, nothing could stop the president from entering the House, but Pelosi has to call the House in session for the speech to be delivered.
