Our RB coach is Gabe Infante, one of the top HS FB coaches in the country.

You’re getting U as your OC. Have fun trying to spin that one!

If its kane I hope it's not more of the same s,hitty carey conservative approach. What coaching tree does he come from?

And who lets employees in on interviews? Where do you guys work?! I feel that's unfair to an applicant and the staff.

This was my ONLY concern with Kane, but one of the writers for the athletic said he expects U to go to temple now.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Kane brings Diersen back with him as DC. No clue on OC, but David Beaty is kind of my pie in the Sky hope.

I can't remember, but I thought I heard that there was a lot of players and recruits schools that didn't care for Diersen?

He was the recruiting coordinator when he was here, so that would be odd. I don’t remember hearing that.

Northern Illinois: NIU’s search is down to Ravens running backs coach Thomas Hammock and SMU defensive coordinator Kevin Kane tweets Adam Rittenberg. We have heard similar, adding that they interviewed a number of other candidates with impressive head coaching or interim head coaching experience, and some of the highest paid CFB offensive coordinators for the job.

Hopefully we move quickly so Temple doesn’t beat us to the punch for Uremovich.

Doing some research though he seems like he has been successful everywhere he has gone. Apparently him and Fleck launched their careers at the same coaches conference, so the story goes... If he brings that same type of intensity and energy to the program could be a really good hire. Both of the rumored finalists actually seem like they will bring some much needed energy to the program.

I wasn’t excited until I read about how good his recruiting was. I want Kane, but I’m fine with either.

Ditto fine with either, but I prefer Hammock. Excited about the prospect of having him as HC.
