They can't put heat on any QB's. Major deficiency.

BYU's QB is darn good, but we made him look outstanding by not putting any heat on him.

It’s only going to get worse. We signed 3 DL recruits in last years class and ZERO this year. We really needed 4-5 in both years to establish depth.

Four in last year's class. If you're going to be defeatist at least get it right.

We still have some open slots for this season, we can still bring in some depth at DL if there are any 5th year seniors or transfers looking for some instant playing time next season.

Lester knows what the issues are, he's closer to it than any of us. It's his fanny on the line at the end of the day. Contract extension or not, do you think he likes reading all the criticism on these pages? He'll get the job done, have some Faith.

CB is more of a concern than the DL in my opinion.

Hell of a last impression of WMU football for Tyrece Woods yesterday. Don’t be surprised if he chooses to go to Cinci

IDK, if early playing time is important to him, WMU should be top of his list right now.

The 6 hour radius is the problem. BYU knows the best D prospects come from the South Pacific. Make some contacts in Polynesia, Tim! #letsgetallfierce

I agree 100%!!

Both are areas of concern, but the lack of any kind of a pass rush really hurt us down the stretch. And there are a LOT more talented DB's in the HS ranks and JC's than Defensive Linemen. Sure, we need to bring them in and teach them our Defense, but the talent pool of DB's is significantly larger than DLmen.

CB the issue. BYU couldn't run on us, they went air attack and killed us. Lester thinks he has a JC transfer who can start at CB. Wouldn't be shocked if 1-2 5th year transfers end up on D side.

We do a great job stopping the run, but I do think the lack of pass rush is mostly to blame. There were times their QBs had as much as ours. We needed to blitz aggressively to generate a rush. We had to try Clayton at DE to get a rush.

I think we just need one dominate guy they have to worry about. I was hoping Clayton on blitzes or Fayad would be that guy consistently. Maybe Carter or Buford?

Last season we had Clark and lock-down NFL corners, letting the other guys do their work.
