we played a top 10 UCF squad twice...played an SEC team in Mizzou on the road...and then played Houston at home.

problem is we went 1-3 in those games.

After what I saw today, I am seriously doubting that. If we can take UCF to the wire like we have, they are gonna get trucked by LSU.

I agree. Dude is in his late 30’s and the longer he is here the better shape our program will be in when time for the next guy. That being said, really dumb decisions today and Brady White isn’t the answer. Look forward to seeing his coordinator hires.

I just think we should look at transfers again and try to find a QB to battle for the job. Still, Brady will likely be QB the next 2 years, hopefully he improves.

I think he has just one more year of eligibility.

We needed him the first 58 minutes of the game.

And when they called a good mixture of pass and run he did it early. Most of the game it was 70%-75% run over pass.

Prior to the last two drives, it was 42 rushes to 18 passes. The final two drives were 11 each.

I think he’ll be better next season. We only had 8 seniors and bring in a top 50 class. We will be okay. He has a good head on his shoulders despite some bad decisions today.

Brady is a decent q.b., we've been spoiled with Pax and Riley the past six yrs
Brady had a couple of decent deep balls yesterday, one barely overthrown to Coxie down the sideline
And another on the money for a great gain that was negated because Mr Coxie decided he had to run out of bounds for a couple of feet. I have to say with all the chirping going on, that one was a WTF did he do that

This was his first season. New offense, new team. He played good, not great. He will improve.

Don't forget with about 20 secs left, While running outside of the pocket he hit our best receiver in both hands with what would have been the game winning TD. Kinda reminded me of the pass Hurt threw against UGA in the SEC title game. Oh, the AL receiver made the catch. And they won. Coincidence?

Most players get better from year to year. This was his first season of real playing time, it is very reasonable to expect him to progress and improve.

Pretty sure he has 2 years left. Not sure if he will be our starter for both those years. I do believe better play calling would help him.

Brady white has one more year left. He is the favorite to start, imo, but he still has so much to work on. Teams adjusted to his inability to throw downfield in the last 2 games. My real opinion is this guy was overrated big time coming out of high school. He can't run, he can't pass downfield...at least not yet. David moore was not the answer btw.

In norvell's 3 years here, i thought this year's coaching staff performed the worse. Chris ball gave some guys a lot more snaps in the secondary against wake forest than they have had all year long. Chris ball did things that just didn't make sense. He just seems like a really bad coach to me whether he is good friends with norvell or not.

We still got a 50/50 kicker no matter the distance or situation.

Pollard got a lot of touches in the first half, but he only got half the touches in the 2nd half. I don't think he was ever used as a receiver in the bowl game. Patrick taylor got 30 carries for 3.7 average. Imo, pollard will get used more next year, but not as much as he wants. He could be forgotten again like he was this year at times.

Norvell is 0 for 2 in conference championship games, but he did get us there. Norvell is 0-3 in bowl games including a home loss in what could be our only appearance in the Liberty Bowl ever. That was with arguably our best team ever, it was such a disappointment. Tigers have lost 4 straight bowl games. Tigers have a 3-7 bowl record since 2003.

Going into this year (before i saw the qb play from everyone), i thought we would take some losses this year, but next year we would be very very good. Now, i think our team next year will be similar or slightly worse than the team this year.

All of the above comments are fair. Using the TE more might help, and getting a couple of other dependable wideouts to throw to would be nice.

4. Coach-quarterback duo
Quarterback Brady White has thrown for 3,125 yards and 25 touchdowns in his first season at Memphis after joining the Tigers as a graduate transfer from Arizona State. White’s situation is similar to the one that brought Ryan Finley to N.C. State, as Finley transferred to the Wolfpack to remain in then-offensive coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz’s system.

White was recruited to Arizona State by then-assistant Mike Norvell, who took the Memphis job before White played a game for the Sun Devils. White played three games in the 2016 season as a redshirt freshman, but an injury cost him that season and the 2017 season. This season with Memphis was his first of three seasons of eligibility with the Tigers.

Given the opportunity & the way CMN runs his offense, TP should be the star of the offense in 2019. Now that DH has moved on, he is the most versatile & dependable threat we have to score every time he touches the ball. I love watching him play and look forward to his progression next year. I hope he is ready mentally & physically to carry the load. Don't really care if they use him as a decoy on kick returns since anyone who kicks to him is simply ignorant. Still cannot believe WF actually kicked to him.

Coxie should improve too but sometimes is so frustrating to watch. He makes some of the best catches then drops several easy ones.

For his first year, BW was a pretty good game manager, but as everyone who has seen any of our games knows, he needs a stronger arm. He has until late August to be ready because I don't see anyone beating him out next year.

Finally, I love our coach and look forward to another year with him (and 10+ more if he decides to stay) at the helm. I am hoping he learned a lot in his 3rd year as a head coach & improves just like the players.

Like multiple other folks have posted, it is a great time to be a Tiger!

An off-season to work with Norvell and an extra year of experience. He seems studious and engaged. Maybe never a star, but I think he really can be a game manager.
