RE: UCLA predictions
UC by 11, unless UCLA puts up a wasted scoring streak at the end.
No Baby Shaq tonight; he's out for the season with a heart problem.
A good game to bring football recruits to.
I was never impressed about Steve Alford, as a player nor coach.

I mean very very loud. Don't think UCLA will be able to deal with it. I think it'll be a beat down 12-15 point win. Hopefully Moore, Johnson and Frederick get 12+ mins each.
I disagree with this. It's 1000x more beautiful and still loud but if anything the same loud or less. I think the changes behind the baskets has made it not quite as loud. Games like OSU, X, and hopefully tonight it won't really make a difference, but I don't think sound bounces around in the new place like it did in the old. But then again, how are we supposed to definitively know? I don't have a 'photographic sound memory'.
That being said I encourage all of you to take some time today and pray for a Bearcats win and the mental health & well being of many of our posters should they lose.
The only loud thing in the arena is the sound system. Crowd noise isn’t like it used to be and I blame that mostly on redesigned seating behind each basket.
I still think they dropped the ball on the championship banners, cup holders, curved scoreboard, and restroom size. Overall they screwed up too many little things which take away from the experience. Easier to get around and better food options help but honestly those are minimum requirements in any new arena. Not sure if they can fix thier mistakes but I hope they make changes after this year. Athletic department folks need to sit everywhere in the arena, try everything like a real fan and come back with an honest assessment. Take in fan feedback and get back to work to make it right.
Oh yeah UC wins tonight.
Championship banners - I wish they had actual banners hanging in the rafters as opposed to wall graphics, but that would be a cheap and easy change.
Cupholders - I have cupholders in my seats and I believe most seats do.
Curved scoreboard - not sure if you're referencing wanting the centercourt jumbotron curved or wanting the curved ones in the corners to be flat but I personally love the jumbotron (did see for the first time a ball hit the underside of it at half of the Xavier game but the full court shot was after the clocks hit 0.00 anyway). Regarding the corner boards, they've added player stats/fouls to the centercourt screens so there's no real reason to look at the corner ones.
Bathrooms - could be a big complaint but I can't really think of many arenas where they're efficient at intermissions. Just gotta sacrifice and go during TV timeouts.
Food Options - they added local flavors but could use more and could definitely drop the price. $5 a coney is laughable but I normally eat before games.
cup holders spill beverage if beverage full due to angle of the cup holders. The four curved scoreboards are basically useless and hard to see from my center court seats. The lack of banners is just dumb. Nothing regardless conference or conference tournament championship. When you have the history UC has you highlight all parts of it. Miss the All American wall too.
Completely derailing from the score prediction but is there a reason UC doesn't allow the beers to stay in cans? I much prefer that because there's far less spillage when walking around, or sitting (or in this case, putting them in cupholders)

Moore goes off for 40pts including 10 3pters.
Mick is carried off the court on the players' shoulders pointing at the crowd and yelling, "I told you so" over and over again.

I think bearcats# 1 would rather just be right then Cronin win a championship. We get it you don’t like Cronin, the way he coaches, the players he recruits to the point imo you want them to fail.
The new basketball arena’s atmosphere isn’t as good because of cronin or the players he recruits. The cheese on your nachos wasn’t good at all last game because Cronin was worried too much about D. The bad drivers on the roads today were forsure all because cronin. The last time you golfed you didn’t break 90 because your swing sucks..my bad cronin caused that no doubt.

Wow, the irony. This broken clock is right twice a day, just not when it wants to be right.

Actually, mine was 4 points closer.
How do you figure that?
89-55 = 34 point margin
76-58 = 18 point margin
actual 93-64 = 29 point margin
Last I checked 29 is closer to 34 than 18
The 89 is a closer top than you.
Now your UCLA of 58 is better.
I think your math and logic loses. Disclosure I was an accounting grad, IRS, Grant Thorton CPA and CFO so I can subtract.

Don't worry about it. Clearly you're not an accounting grad, IRS, Grant Thorton CPA and CFO so you cannot subtract.

No, I'm just an engineer who does statistics for a high school football team, had a license to teach high school math, and writes a weekly newspaper column on the high school football computer point system.
Apparently I integrate and differentiate better than I subtract.
