This is really cherry picking what counts as a "big game". To be a bit fair, his first team had no business being in a bowl game talent wise but still took that game to overtime with Mason Fine out with an injury.

And lost by four scores to a Sun Belt team that didn't get bowl eligible. Got rolled by MTSU one week and beat MTSU a week later on the same field. UAB was all over the place. That is why I think the Boca Bowl is going to be fascinating to watch. NIU looked awful their last two regular season games and then beat a 10 win Buffalo in the title game. Two pretty good teams that stumble unexpectedly at times. Despite that I think the line undervalues the Blazers, why I took UAB in my bowl pool, good UAB shows up I don't think NIU can stay in.

That was a terrible game to watch in person. It was a 7 pt game when Fine got hurt. He came back in and played another series but the coaches shouldn't have let him. He could barely walk on the sidelines, no way he could have even jogged.

At least we got the extra practices, and some young QBs got some game experience. Nothing left to do now but burn the game film and concentrate on recruiting.

Good luck to all the remaining CUSA bowl teams, and good luck to everyone on the recruiting trail. Unless you offered on of our recruits.

Good Lord! USM played with our 3rd and 4th string QB's (soph transfer and true frosh) and 4th, 5th, and 6th string freshman RB's all year. Sh!t happens...

I don't remember anyone feeling sorry for us, (including N. Texas when you kicked our azzes)..nor should they.

The good thing is: We have a bunch of guys back with a lot of playing time, and we are finally getting our numbers back up where they are supposed to be.

Remember, there is no crying in football, not just baseball.
