PARIS (AP) — French President Emmanuel Macron visited the graffiti-damaged Arc de Triomphe monument and held an emergency meeting on security Sunday, a day after central Paris was hit by France's worst riot in a generation.

Macron, who was meeting with his prime minister and interior and environment ministers, has vowed that those responsible for the violence and the damages will pay for their actions. His tour of France's beloved monument came just hours after he flew back from the G-20 summit in Argentina.

Beleaguered workers? Hells bells they only work a 30 hour week. From the time I was 22 until I retired I worked minimally 50 hours a week and most weeks pushed well over 60.

Perhaps if they worked a bit more they would have more to spend, and less time to loot and riot?

This is your socialist future America! Wake up!

lol...I know, right? Years ago I had a neighbor who was fairly high up at Compaq Computer complaining about how difficult it was to lay off anyone in Compaq's operations inside France. It was years ago, but it was something along the lines of you had to let them come to work and sit at their desk for like 2 years despite the fact the position had been completely eliminated.

We did a ton of work for the US operations of Total Minatome, the French oil company, because it was easier for them to hire outside contractors than to terminate employees, even in the US.
