I'm assuming this Sexton dude is some kind of agent. Is he known for getting his coaches P5 gigs?

Are you serious Clark?

He’s the top agent in college football.

If you say so. I don't keep up with such things but if that's true then Satt is on the hunt for more pay.

He's the Scott Boras of college football. Sexton clients have their name linked with every job possible, even if they aren't really interested.

Satt's either walking away with a new job, or after having his name linked to every P5 job, he'll announce a significant raise and extension to stay with App, with a reduced buyout, so he can bounce the next year if need be.

And if Sexton is advising him he will be the best paid coach in the Sun Belt, maybe the G5, if he stays. Because if they do not get paid, Jimmy does not get paid. And Jimmy always gets paid.

Lord son, my comment was a joke. And you delusional App fans need to quit lying to yourselves. He will be gone if the right offer comes. They all go. It doesn't matter if his kid is an honor student and his wife is mayor. When they hang 7 figures in front of him he will grab the brass ring. Any coach would be stupid not to. Financial security for life would make anyone take the job. I only wish I had an opportunity like that.

I've never said he wouldn't leave, but some of you also act like Satt is the only option for Chapel Hill. As much as some of our fans may be blinded by our App fandom the fans of our rival schools are blinded by their excitement of not having to face him anymore. It's understandable since App has been the best program in the conference since we joined, and we have a TON of talent returning next year.

Personally I hope Satt waits for a better job as UNC is a coaching graveyard, and that program is as crooked as any around.

I agree, but that's what some are saying. I laughed when first mentioned.

The issue is they want to hire Brown and bring in a young OC/DC as coach in waiting...

UNC should hire Satterfield, and Satterfield probably should accept. But I hope neither happens. Scott will be in a P5 school sooner than later anyway...

And Jimmy Sexton does not take on clients that don't want to move on to better jobs....

Satt doesn’t hire Jimmy Sexton if he’s wanting to stay at App State. That man wants out.

Can App pay him $3 million per year?

UNC can pay him big bucks and he can win there. If he does he'll be in line for an even more high profile job aka Mack Brown going to Texas......Appalachian St is a damned good job where you can win consistently. I'm sure he loves coaching there but when you can move up in your career you do it......
