Nahh. Our defense was a joke all year. Hell, even tonight it took our brilliant DC 2 and half quarters to move a safety down into the box....and even then he only did it sporadically. He's a complete moron that wasted 2 years of Olivers Coog career.

look at how we lost the last 2 games since his injury

before olivers injury we were second in the aac in rushing yards allowed per attempt.. Oliver led the nation in run stops

the last 2 teams we played set rushing records vs us... (and smu is statistically a horrible rushing team)

i agree our pass defense was bad, but we win the last 2 games with good rush defense
temple just had a 6td rusher

The fans that left early were nuts. Anybody watching could see that a 21 point lead wasn't going to be enough.

No. Major has turned us into a soft finesse team. You guys still play hard nosed toght football like we did when Herman was here. Temple is by far the tougher team. We are done. Our last 2 games are pretty much meaningless at this point. Play the depth players and try to get to get healthy for the Frisco Bowl against Miami Ohio. 04-cheers

Applewhite has single handily set this program back a decade, and thats not an over-exaggeration.

Temple remains alive in the east. Needs to win out and ucf to lose out. Bearcats win a 3 way tie.

To be fair, we played some pretty bad teams. Pretty sure USF is the only team with a winning record we have beaten. After tonight, I believe we are now 1-3 vs teams with winning records. Our defense was "better" with Ed---but it hasnt been good all year. It was the #128th defense in the nation after 4 games---and that was while Ed was healthy. After SMU we were #120, but tonight we gave up even more yards than our current per game average--so I expect we will be moving down to 121 or 122 after tonights numbers are tabulated. Bottom line----We have been a bottom 10 defense for most of the year...and now we are getting worse. It is what it is. 04-cheers

It will now have been two years since we had a defense ranked better that 100 in the nation.

This is a lie. But, hey, you were only off by 10K. Crap like this is why you have no credibility here or anywhere else.

I actually have alot of credibility... especially now that everything I predicted about applewhite has come true. Maybe you should re-read what you posted because you literally just revealed your hypocrisy.

I didn’t realize making a generalized statement took immediately took away someone’s credibility but please carry on making up BS about me. Its hilarious really.

Temple looks flat out REALLY good right now. I am really, really glad that UCF got by them with a 2 score win. I'm even more impressed with our 2nd half defensive performance by only yielding 6 points to them. That offense is clicking right now.

Temple is a good team that the pundits and voters will of course give UCF no credit for beating.

Kentucky (11) lost to a bad Tennessee team maybe UCF moves up? As far as Temple our fcs loss is biting everyone in the ass right now.

temple just had a 6td rusher

That 6 TD rusher has been special against top teams.

In his last 3 games against ranked BC, undefeated UCF, and previously highly regarded Houston, Armstead has amassed 171 (BC), 142 (UCF), and 210 (Houston), for a total of 523 yards and 10 TDS (4 TDs against BC), all while averaging about 6 YPC.

This was not a one game career game necessarily but a culmination of great running by a top back. Ironically the only team to stop him this year has been Villanova in game one, go figure.

I think its possible to acknowledge that Armstead is a stud and that the UH D-line is completely depleted.

No joke an absolute head scratcher

You guys have an outstanding stud in the backfield and he's definitely NFL bound.
