I remember when NIU did it vs. Dayton. EMU is a top half MAC team too... Scary.

Kent State leading a good Vanderbilt team by 7 at the half. Vandy's star point guard seems to have been taken out of the game due to an injury. Kent has a real shot at this one

Solid win by KSU.

Dam I really wish the full NIU squad was on the court to beat NKU now.

The first order of business for any mid-major ... when the opportunity presents itself to beat a BCS team, BEAT THEM.

More often than not, it does not happen. Tip o'the hat to the Golden Flashes.

Bet the first phone call KSU coaches got came from Buffalo!!!

Now which MAC team is next???

The next BCS win potential I see is KSU vs LU on 12/15.

NIU beat Oral Robert's 87-66. NIU was able to put in its bench with 5 mins left in the game.

Tomorrow we play James Madison @ noon EST.

Third straight season for KSU: Texas, Oregon St., Vanderbilt.
Flashes are a different team with Jaylin Walker back. He led all scorers in his first game of the season with 22.

RE: Basketball Non-Conf Games Thread
good day for the MAC.

NIU may actually have a team this season. We'll find out for sure against a pretty good James Madison team saturday.

Western continues to hold court against lesser competition which is pretty good for one of the league's weakest teams

Kent gets the big Win. Vandy is an NCAA team if their star guard gets back on the court (possible ACL vs flashes). That's a tough place to win. Flashes could keep improving. They got another starter likely to return from injury which will strengthen their frontcourt.

Sadly, it looks like Danny Pippen won’t return this season and is taking a redshirt. Bodes well for the future as he had developed last year into a key starter, but isn’t good for this year.

Was weird seeing an Army team that didn't run the triple option! Redhawks take care of business at least.

NIU shot for 66% from the field and beat Oakland 92-72 today. Even in a four-point loss to James Madison we shot nearly 51%. We won two of the three games in the tournament.

And Bradley went 13-13. Most were not layups or dunks either.
