RE: GAME DAY! LaTech @ FAU Official Game Thread! 6:30PM CBSSN
I think I passed everyone in the CUSA Stock Contest tonight.
Coming into this week, I was already in 3rd place, with big short positions on FAU and heavily weighted long positions on LA Tech. I also have some long positions on FIU. It's turning out to be a good combo.

I'd say this year has very much been a case of what seems to be clear one week is often upended the next.

Beating Lane with a back up QB is pretty big for La Tech.
Wow sounds like bigger than a lousouina preacher getting a 14 year old to say “YES”
That and talkin shirt to other programs is all you have left.
FAU has sucked at athletics for most of their short history. That's just a fact:
Basketball you have 26 DI years in that time frame you have 5 winning seasons:
1996-97 16-11
2001-02 19-12 NCAA App.
2005-06 15-13
2006-07 16-15
2010-11 21-11
FAU All Time Basketball Record:
263-476 All Time
10-18 Avg Per Season
Football in 18 years you have 3 IA winging season and 2 IAA winning seasons and 1 break even seasons:
IA
2017 11-3
2008 7-6
2007 8-5
IAA
2004 9-3
2003 11-3
IA Break Even
2013 6-6
FAU All Time Football Record:
88-120 All Time
4-8 Avg Per Season
Anyone that gives you crap over the things you and a few others kept saying last year and before this season is totally deserved now. You was a 1 trick pony that was run by Kendall Briles, a man who should have had a show cause penalty put on him also.
As the old saying goes: "Even a blind squirrel can find a nut ever so often"...

I will not speak for HerdZoned, but I would say that this is in direct reply to OC40. He’s earned it guys, but I will not pile on.
I respect what you have done in so little time, and I would venture to say that most posters (from Marshall) would agree. We were the same way when we moved up, had success, crowed, then switched conferences and got our ass handed to us for five years.
I wish you guys the best going forward, but even though it’s hard not to blast back, OC40 made that bed and some posters are going to let him know about it.

Wasn't totally our fault though. What the NCAA sanctioned us for no one inside a power conference would have even gotten a scholarship reduction (See UNC Football, Louisville Basketball). Plus it was right at the time the NCAA was looking to pound someone, at that time Alabama was in major hot water. They hit Marshall hard and then threw a softball to Alabama and said "See we are fair'.

See? Now you’re reaping what you’ve sown since all of your crowing last year. Just shut up and take it. You of all have earned it if people pile on you. I have not and will not say anything inflammatory to you at all, but if you are delusional enough to think that FAU is the biggest win in LaTech history, then I suggest you find a nice therapist.
NOTE: My apologies to Goliath, Ragu, and all of the other reasonable FAU fans, but this is ridiculous.
No problem he is ridiculous. I've tried to explain to him to tone it down plenty
Didn't lose as badly as I pictured but the offense and special teams and discipline are a mess. This isn't a bowl teamthis year I'll stick with 5-7

I'd say good game FAU, but man, I've never seen a non-Tech team gift a game away so hard.
Good luck the rest of the way!

I wouldn't say that. The only time you can point to that would be the end of the game
The refs totally screwed us on reversing the spot in techs favor
Then our guy stupidly didn't know the rules on punt blocking
But even if those are in our favor and we receive a clean punt, I doubt we score a td and 2 point conversion with how our offense has been playing

I've thought Tech had finally turned the corner a few times and partook in message board vainglory. Reality is cruel. Louisville, and to some extent TCU, are the only programs that haven't been humbly snapped back to place. Welcome to the club owlcountry40!

RE: GAME DAY! LaTech @ FAU Official Game Thread! 6:30PM CBSSN
FAU took risks last year and it paid off. FAU had a good QB to manage the risk taking last year, and Briles calling the plays. They basically have the same talent as last year but coaching and good game management QB make a huge difference.
I said it before that FAU run last year was due to coaching and Driskel. Their defense was never that good. It is amazing what coaching (Briles) can do for a lesser talented team like FAU.

This guy continually brings up a game where his team lost by 25 and acts like it was all trick plays and magic. It's pretty hilarious
Thankfully the rest of their fanbase seems to know more about football and doesn't continually try to justify getting killed as if it was smoke and mirrors

Seriously that was a good win for Tech last night. Especially beating the CUSA champs. Go mix it up in the east, Good Luck the rest of the way

You are a weird dude. You castigate people on BB&B for rightly pointing out LA Tech's flaws (which we agree, are many), then you run over here to the CUSA board and do it yourself. Don't be a hypocrite.

What year was that when FAU won that game anyway? All I know is, it's OLD NEWS.
