Good grief, Charlie Brown — enjoy this. Remember the Alamo (A-Sun) days. That makes all this that much sweeter. The weather thing comments are funny — complained about the Dome relentlessly, now the weather since we’re playing outside where “football is supposed to be played” ( a sentiment repeated over and over before).

I think this was mentioned earlier in the season but apparently somebody is doing a good job in the strength and conditioning area. The Bucs don't seem to "fizzle out" at the end of the game (and OTs).

Pathetic turnout.
Bucs in first place, playing a conference game to stay in first place. In running to win conference, in running to get a berth in playoffs
Beautiful stadium.......ON CAMPUS.
Team, coaches, band, cheerleaders and maybe 2500 showup.
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses.
Build more seats, build a Deck, build a fieldhouse, build more concessions, build a 8-10k arena. Move up to better conference. Nothing is going to happen until fans fill the current venues.
ETSU and the teams have done their job, when are the fans going to become real 'dyed in the wool' fanny in the seat, fans.
Thanks to the fans that did showup and thanks to the few that stayed to see a BUC WIN that will go down as one of the most exciting games ever played and won by the BLUE and GOLD.
Another great win for the Bucs. Congrats to the coaches and the team on their never give up attitude.

Unless my eyes are lying, empty seats across the game seem to be more commonplace these days. That App State - Ga Southern game, for example, in Statesboro Thursday night should have been a standing room only event — yet, lots of empty seats in that newer upper deck. Even the Power Five folks are having a time getting people in seats, and many there seem to be headed out all through the second halves. Are too many games being aired today? In them there “good ol days”, if you weren’t there in person, you didn’t see the game.

Official Game Thread: Western Carolina
I came and did something I have never done before. Left at half time. The reason? I have a five-year-old son who was freezing to death and I’m not going to make him sit through that. Bottom line is a lot of people just aren’t going to show up when it’s 45° and raining. Especially when we’re a new program and a lot of the community hasn’t completely bought in yet. They will buy in if we keep winning.

These are all valid points. Is there a way to find out how many tickets were sold? I bet a lot more than actually showed up because of the weather. Plus I think many people were there but were just not in their seats, The standing room in our stadium is so good that I think people just choose to mingle around the rim of the stadium. For the year I am pretty confident that our attendance is good for FCS football. With the rain yesterday it felt very cold and dreary. I hope November 17th is sunny and at least seasonably warm so we can have a great crowd for the last game. Regular season that is. The team has earned our attendance.

There is a decent probability that game could turn out to be a chance for us to win the SoCon outright. In that scenario, it better be a packed house. The seniors deserve it as well.

Fan1,
With a five year old son, you weren’t around when the Dome was proposed and built? Not beating a dead horse, but your statement was the exact argument used to go indoors with football —- plus an unusual string of rainy falls back then. Understand, I would have left with my six year old grandson also.
Attendance was listed at 7121.

That was paid attendance, not actual attendance.

Like I said, half empty houses are more common — especially at numerous overbuilt stadiums of the lower FBS pretenders where they’re supposed to peddle at least 15,000 tickets per week Can the owners of these tickets not even give them away in order to put more bodies in seats?
