You’ve got to be kidding! The Missouri helmets suck! It is hard to tell what is on the sides of the helmet. Looks more like the end of a broom than a Tiger head.

Nike has done a great job. We're like the Oregon of the south with all the variations, yet you immediately know its Memphis. The stripes are the conduit for all the designs. Strong identity.

Ummmm… other than the stone block pattern, it's the same M we have worn before, but with stripes. Good, but hardly great or trendsetting.

LSU's helmet on the other hand... Can't wait to see if they look as good live as they look in the promos for them.

Fuente started the striped stuff with the end zone design and helmets. Norvell carried it over besides the chrome helmets that blinded folks on sunny days.

You say this as you wear your zubaz sweats and string t golds gym shirt from 1980s, while thinking how awesome Tulanes helmets are they wore against us! Just because our tigers wear them some, dosent mean you have to say you like them. Dosent make u less a fan. They are horrible and bush league, and anyone that doesn’t is only trying to be politically correct, so to speak.

Gray happens to be a school color. That seems to bother a lot of people who prefer blue and white uniforms. Personally i hate wearing Kentucky"s colors but shirley raines was from kentucky and really liked it so those became our defacto colors. I am happy that gray is once again being worn, it will take some fans as long to accept that as it did for them to accept University of Memphis instead of Memphis State.

I hate when we wear anything other than blue/gray---as for our name---I hated the change--- we will always be MEMPHIS STATE to me.

I know but to keep that name would have been deceptive. Memphis State was a teachers university. It had been a research institution for many years when it finally changed its' name to reflect that fact. I understand the resistance to change that many people have, but it has been the University of Memphis for over 30 years now.

No Memphis Normal was a teacher college. Memphis State was a STATE UNIVERSITY

The University of Memphis is still a state university.

1994 was a long time ago now. It's time to get over it.
