TXST certainly looks a lot better on O in the second half.

Very poor play calling on the end of that drive for the Bobcats.

. . . and so concludes another exciting Bobcat FB game. Final: 42-27 Cajuns.

These Bobcats are on some kind of streak . . .

We are now 0-6 versus the Cajuns in football. The margin of 15 points is the closest we have gotten in the six games. We are 1-11 vs the Cajuns in basketball. You would think that might bother someone in Administration at Texas State...

Not trying to be an @$$ by any means, but our series is crazy. I don’t think y’all have beaten us at Cajun Field since 1993. And then you have games like last year we’re the spread is fairly close and y’all win by 50.

Not so fast my friend. There was one glorious beat-down in which Gus Malzahn ran it again, and again, and again - same play over and over and over.

My Texas State friends - hang in there - A-State has been where you are and it really, really sucks. Things can and do change. You guys need new leadership starting with AD, as y'all have been saying for years. It makes a difference that A-State's Academic leadership now takes Football seriously - seeing it as marketing/exposure rather than a non-academic expense.

There is an underground movement currently to start sacrificing virgins in an effort to appease the football gods.

Only problem is... This is San Marcos. We can't find any!

I've reached my lowest interest ever in this program. I'll check the scoreboard but that is it. No interest in going to games or even watching on tv at this point. Never thought I would reach this point. Until Withers is gone I won't care. Until Teis is gone I don't think any new hire will make a difference.

San Marcos looks like a great place to visit, live or go to school. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful women, great stadium in a football crazy state. How you are not good in football is beyond me. I know the fans and donors here at GS would not stand for anything here like what is going on there.

What you are starting to see is the donors are leaving in droves. Over the past two years, the bobcat club (the arm of the department that collects donations for scholarships) has dropped 50%. For the first time, we have suites available, and champions level seating is also readily available (they are even offering partial season deals for championship level seating for the first time).

But I'm curious about something: How much of your athletic budget is comprised of student fees? For us, it's a significant portion of the budget. And short of the student body rising up, that's basically a blank check to the AD.

I got to that point with Tyson Summers about six games into his first season

There was a fan ejected from the mostly empty stadium for holding a #FireTeis sign.

Apparently signs are now prohibited at the stadium. How convenient.

Honestly, Everett Withers is just not that great a hire. His record at JMU might not seem like it's that bad, but JMU has a significant talent advantage over almost all of the FCS. Mike Houston is 18-1 in conference games and 7-1 in the playoffs. He's basically only lost to two FCS teams about half way through his third season. Compare that to Withers, who went 0-2 in the playoffs and was 9-3 twice.

The guy that you guys need to hire is at Sam Houston State. I'm sure he could win at Texas State. The absolute worst thing Texas state could do IMO is to hire someone like Mack Brown or Dennis Franchione who really doesn't have anything to prove just to placate some dumb boosters that think you need a "name" coach to win in FBS.

I hear Mike Stoops is available. He was a decent HC at Arizona and also a big name so that would probably check both boxes.

Were signs allowed in the first place? I know most stadiums have outlawed them.

If they were then that's a breach of the first amendment. Can't remove that person as far as I know just because you don't like what is written on their sign. If someone else was in there with a sign that said, "Free Hugs" then they have to kick them out too.
