After this game, it is pretty clear that this is 1989, not 2006. Nothing in the cupboard. By last year, across the board in the "big" sports, Rice had regressed horribly and whatever progress made since 1988 (what I consider to be the previous Rice sports nadir) has been totally wiped out due to lack of effort and neglect. Thankfully, there is some tight competition.

Panicking early on that pitch should put Stankavage on the bench once this series is over.

I think it's time to clear the bench. Everybody who got on the plane plays. Same thing every week for the rest of the season.

Stank has to be embarrassed on this home trip. I’d guess he was one of the best QBs in NC when he came out. Went to the SEC (even though Vandy isn’t good). Now returns with Rice and is down 28-0 to start the game to WF.

It must be frustrating to Jerry Mack to take such a backseat to Bloomgren re: offensive strategy.
