My view of him has not changed one bit. I said he had short comings while he played here and that opinion did not change.

Just grew tired of him not leading the WR/TE on crossing pattern leaving them wide open for big hits. Or forcing them to slow down to make the catch and losing the edge.

He's to blame for some things. If what is being reported that he was lazy not doing his work in the office, then that's on him. Fuentes once said he was a terrible practice guy.

Then you throw into the equation the Broncos were just as bad developing him then you get this. I'm pulling for Paxton but he has to make this happen. It's on him now.

RE: Paxton Lynch Waived
I’m not buying into the notion that Denver didn’t know how or care to develope him. He was their 1st round pick. The GM traded up to get him. I bet they tried everything they could think of to help him be successful!

Maybe he wasn’t a good fit for their offense, maybe he really didn’t work hard off the field to get better. Whatever the reason for not making it with the Broncos I have to think their staff and particularly Elway made it their business to see that he got what he needed.

I hope he gets another shot and I hope i5 works out for him.

Who made you the judge of who the real fans are?

The evidence says otherwise. Denver has failed to develop ANY QB for several years now, despite their efforts. Pretty much everyone has washed out there, even back before they signed Peyton Manning.

That is why they signed Manning in the first place, they had no QB and no real prospects in the organization. And they have continued to struggle to develop one since then.

Of course, blame also must be laid on Lynch, but giving Denver a pass would be ignoring the facts and evidence.

This is a good point. You would think that Elway being the GM would be like learning from the master but he most likely has nothing to do with player development.

Hopefully Paxton gets another shot somewhere else and can fit into their offense and bring up his level of work ethic. I don't think he was ever destined to be a marquis QB but I think he could be a good #2 if he's willing to learn and put in the work.

What facts and evidence? If a player doesn't live up to his potential does that mean he wasn't developed? Are there other QB's that Denver didn't develop that went somewhere else and flourished? It seemed like they did a good job with Osweiler who played well, got a nice contract and then fell flat in Houston.

I think it's more a case of poor draft picks/evaluatons. Other than Paxton I can't remember the last time the Bronco's drafted high enough to get a cant miss type of QB.

lol the facts and evidence of them not finding and developing a young QB for many years now.

You don't have to have a high 1st round pick to develop a QB. Drew Brees Was a 2nd round pick, Russell Wilson was a 3rd round pick, Dak Prescott was a 4th round pick. Tom Brady was a 7th round pick. Tony Romo was undrafted.

Who said anything about "can't miss"? There are only a few of those in every generation, even they still sometimes miss.

They have only taken one other 1st rounder since Manning and that was Tebow.

They kept their rookie draft pick and a veteran QB in case Eli goes out. But the Giants are really happy with the rookie Kyle Lauletta.
