We need an indoor practice facility that can simulate rain. Also it should be able to simulate hurricane force winds and hail, with loud tornado warning sirens. We are falling behind

He didn't throw any interceptions because where he threw them NOBODY could catch um?

Let's put it this way. SW threw 2-3 interceptions, the d-backs just didn't catch them.

Did you see LU indoor facility? They could have played the game in there it's so nice.

That, and that great stadium too. Its amazing what money and lack of government interference can do. I want ODU to do well and help out as I can financially, but something has to give if we're going to be competitive. Corporate money, state money, media money, large donor and small donors are all crucial.

RE: Game 2: FIU vs ODU
I wonder if ODU could successfully sue to get the Student Fee legislation overturned since they are basically the only school in the state that it actually affects. I am sure it would be a very politically unpopular thing to do, and the optics might be bad at a time when people are so fired up about rising costs of college, but the law basically accomplishes nothing in terms of lowering cost of attendance, and has no effect on most, if not all, state schools not named ODU. Seems like a savvy campaign to attack this thing could be successful.

ODU will gain full ownership of Powhatan field in 2038. Maybe we will get and indoor practice facility there in 20 years

I guess its possible, but we may be the last FBS team in the country without one by then. ODU needs to somehow reclaim the golf course land too. Thats one of the few true gems on campus and plopping a water treatment plant or whatever they plan to put there, right in the middle of ODU land is a "crappy" idea. Pun intended.

Maybe an IPF can go where they planned to put the stadium over by Powhatan. But thats such a beautiful piece of property I think there could be better uses for it.

Perhaps ODU can acquire some property in the industrial area, or better yet, a private company does and builds a field house type place and ODU can use it. Maybe the city will be a partner in one for HS to use and share the cost. Maybe ODU and NSU could partner to build one for both to use.

I’m trying to be optimistic about the season - but it is hard. This game is beyond critical. If we don’t come out and demonstrate we’re a solid team, then our only win at home will most likely be VMI. I don’t like that thought.
