I think ULM is still going to be great on offense. Their issues are fixable there. Their defense is what it appears to be, though. Going to have to outscore people.

Not making excuses, but SLU has tons of P5 FBS transfers and SLC teams aren’t SWAC teams. StAte lost to UCA a couple years ago and still either win the conference or did really well. GSU lost last year to and FCS and made a bowl. Trust me. I’m not happy. We better start playing some D and need to start another kicker, but we’ll know a lot more against USM next week. We may suck, but not giving up hope yet. And yes we still have a band and it’s the biggest it’s been in years. Damn stadium guy plays music over them all the time though. Good luck to the rest of the conference this weekend. Hopefully we improve a lot between week one and week two or we are in trouble. By the way, what an idiot was the SLU coach not going for the win?

Any idea why on earth you guys brought in South's Play by play guy to run the ESPN+ broadcast? Most schools have already hired their on air talent by now...

We'll be ok I think our defense actually played ok in the third and early 4th as our offense was shooting itself in the foot and our kicker was trying to find ways to lose the game. They Don't have to be great just not history awful. I believe we can reach that. 7-5 is realistic especially with usm benching their qb. Wish we disguised our coverages better and wish we stopped giving 15 yard cushions but at least we won I guess.

Sela is pretty ok not top 10 like KSU but top 30-40 I think.

Southeastern went 6-5 last year. Only lost by three at Regular Louisiana as well.

this was his 1st game as head coach, so rookie mistakes in big moments will happen.

looks like a good crowd at gastate game but not many ( 10k+ reported ) at ulm. I am glad both you guys won and didnt pull a san jose state.

Close wins against FCS are much better than losses to FCS. If the SunBelt can avoid all FCS losses and go .500 in OOC FBS play, that'd be awesome.

Didn't you play the same way vs a SWAC team to barely squeak out a win 2 years ago when Southern came to visit?
